It (Bon Yoyage liquor) does not count, in any way, towards your 15 per day limit.

I see no advantage to purchasing it ahead of time, but do see a possible disadvantage; the purchase is irrevocable i believe. What happens if you purchase it several weeks before your depart and then get sick? Maybe your meds cannot be taken with alcohol?
-
If I understand your question correctly, yes, the bottles will be delivered to your stateroom on the embarkation day. They may be waiting in your cabin when you arrive or delivered some time that afternoon. I have experienced both.

While cruising on the Miracle doing the Mexican Rivera....Has any one seen the cliff divers? If so where?
Maybe i am mistaken, but the famous cliff divers are in Acapulco I believe

I don't remember seeing one. The library has very limited hours for checking out a book. I got to where I'd never use the library, just bring my own. I finally got a Kindle, which is about the best invention since sliced bread.
"was" the best invention. Kindle Unlimited is the new best invention! Saves my wife and i hundreds each year.

Katie-
Are you sure you were charged for 7 days? 6 would seem correct. Say you boarded on Sat and paid for drinks that day. On sunday you purchased Cheers, Mon, Tues, Weds, Th, Fri.
Since you disembark on Sat, you wouldn't be charged for that day. Was it an 8 night cruise?

.....and if it says "sold out", keep checking back because it appears that they sell them in batches and more may open up later on

My dentist suggests to make a paste of baking powder, equal parts of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and water (H20). Cost is just pennies per application.:D:D
Baking powder or baking soda?

We travel to PVR several times a year (2 weeks coming in June) and have several close friends who live there. There were acts of violence in Puerto Vallarta which consisted of molotov cocktails being thrown at gas stations and banks. No direct violence against individuals were reported by my friends. One day later, the city was back to normal business. My friends there are not concerned about any continuing threat and I am not concerned about my upcoming trip.

No, a corkage fee is only applied to a bottle of wine brought on board (not purchased through the cruise line) to be consumed in one of the restaurants.
Your free bottle of wine is truly free at the steakhouse on the 1st night

As long as your body is exposed to norovirus frequently, which you will be if you are in contact with surfaces at work, the mall, etc, then your immune system will handle it. Immunity to norovirus does not last long after the last exposure, so to stay healthy you need frequent exposure. If you get symptoms, and do not otherwise have an immune problem, then you have not had recent exposure (likely due to over-sterilizing your environment).
To stay healthy, you need a healthy immune system.
To have a healthy immune system, you need exposure to germs.
Working in the public schools for over 25 years has had one fringe benefit!!

These horror stories are why my son's senior trip, on the Miracle in March, consists of him and his 3 best friends and ALL 8 PARENTS! Each teen is in a cabin with his parents.
-
We are doing this very thing on March with our son and three of his friends. One will be 18, the others, 17. Everything on the Carnival message boards indicate that if the 18 year old has his high school ID, he will be allowed into the teen club. This is not official policy, but quite a few reports confirm the unofficial policy.
We chose a cruise over an AI resort in Mexico because of the alcohol policy on Carnival. Less to worry about!
On shore, we will watch closely over our children :-)

It is the place to go on emarkation day. Most have no idea that it is there and you avoid the masses that flood the buffet.
Irishnyc wrote "mac bad cheese". It used to be the thing that people raved about. I wonder if they changed the recipe??

Just avoid wearing chainmail. ;)
I knew when I saw this thread, someone would bring that up. I doubt that many know of that story. I believe I saw the photo under Google images a year or two ago!

Funtimes also please!!

If they left Carnival, why would they be on a Carnival message board?
No sarcasm intended

I have a similar story- also with a happy ending. In Puerto Vallarta on vacation a few years back, I went to the taxi booth in the airport to arrange transportation. Digging through my travel documents to find money, I placed my wife's and my passprt on the booth counter. Apparently the booth counter was black and US passports dark blue, so I never noticed to pick them back up (duh!). Off to the taxi and hotel we went. A few minutes outside of the airport our taxi pulled over at the request of a taxi behind us (via cellphone, if i remember correctly. The driver from behind rushes up to our taxi and hands me our passports.
I nearly passed out!
P.S. when people ask why we vacation in Mexico so often, I relate this and other stories

There used to be cruises in the Sea of Cortez. Goggle that and see if they are still in business (Of course, they were not mega-liners)

Spent quite a bit of time last summer at the Sea Monkey- Troy's new venture on the South side. Not quite as good for people watching (particularly on Sundays) but they have a few tables in the sand which makes up for it!

OK, about the liquor on Stone Island. My wife had maragaritas at Letys in 07. Is the liquor prohibition new?
Smokers: talk about your experience smoking and on which ship.
