So I had the same issue yesterday, we are sailing from Charleston. So I deleted the app so I can add my booster date, and it asked me did I want to recover I said yes, but had to put in all my info in again like vaccine dates(which I needed to do) answered all the question. Once I did that and went to the upload the test it gave me the clearance to upload the results. I took a picture of my test since I tested 7am yesterday had to wait for it to be verified and a few minutes later it was accepted.

    EXACTLY what I did!!

  2. Thank you for trying to help.  Yes, on the Vista this Saturday July 23rd.  I successfully uploaded our vaccination cards (which have our two shots plus booster, so three total) and was accepted.  It did not ask me any details on our vaccinations (ex) whether or not we've had our boosters).  My first time using Verifly as well.

Under the "Submit negative test results"  it should give me a July 20th option but it doesn't.  SIGH

  3. Hi!  We Cruise on Saturday. July 23rd.  We are all double vaxxed and boosted.  From my understanding we are able to test 72 hours prior to our Cruise departure which was yesterday.  We took our test last night 6pm and we board the ship between 1:30-2pm.  By my calculations we will be just under the 72hour mark.  On verifly when I try and upload our results the only date option it is giving me is today, July 21st!  I'm frustrated and don't know what to do.  Can anyone please help?

  4. Hi!  So we have the Cheers package, my husband and I and my 21 year old.  I've been busy reading various threads but need some clarification (we have only cruised Carnival once, and that was at least 15 years ago) please and thank you.  When at dinner, either at a specialty restaurant or at the MDR, are we able to order bottles of wine on our Cheers package?  Or are we simply only able to order by the glass.  If this is the case, I am gathering we are able to purchase bottles outside of our beverage package?  If so, how would they count this towards our "`15 drink/per day" limit?  We much prefer drinking wine a bottle at a time..  Are we able to order bottles of wine to our room?

Another question please.  Our last Cruise was at Christmas time just before the pandemic.  Our oldest was 18 at the time, and he was able to purchase beer and wine (nothing else alcoholic) when in international waters (apparantly international waters legal age is 18).  This was with Norweigan.  I have read and read and read but can't find this claim anywhere in Carnival FAQ.  Our other son who will be travelling with us is 18, hence the questions...

Do people really bring the allowable wine onboard?  One bottle per person aged 21 and over.  I would love to do this but don't want to be frowned upon!

I am a tad embarrassed at all my alcohol questions lol.... Their is plenty more to be focused on than just alcohol lol Thank you for taking the time to respond!

  5. Another great and enjoyable review!  You are getting me so excited about our upcoming Cruise.. 15 days and counting!  I have to say eating at Ji Ji's (I've never been, but I'm thinking asian cuisine, and seafood heavy) hungover gave my tummy a little flip flop... I absolutely couldn't handle that, and I am a big seafood lover lol  We have reservations there one night and I was already a little stressed my boys won't be big fans... seeing your pictures I now know for certainty they won't be lol 🤷‍♀️ Oh well, it's not all about them lol we also have steakhouse resos which is right up their alley! And regardless, this will give them the perfect opportunity for guilt free late night burgers or pizza!  Haha!

  6. Hi! Why wait to test until you enter the States?  You have three days before boarding if you are boosted and 2 days before if you haven't had the booster and are eligible.  I personally wouldn't feel comfortable boarding my plane unless I had a negative antigen test in my hands.  We are Cruising on the 23rd and are going down the day before.  I have 4 antigen tests books for the evening of the 21st at Shoppers Drug Mart for $40 each!  Of course I would rather find a free test lol but the stress isn't worth it to me.

I seriously can't wait till these test are ancient history!! 🙏

Thanks so so much! That makes me very happy to hear!!!! Have a blast cruising out of Texas - you'll have great people and happy ships for sure... what cruise are you doing out of Galveston??

Well to be honest, port stops are secondary to us at the moment lol What trumped was cheap and direct flights from Calgary and Houston won lol.  Carnival was 1/3 of the price of RCI (like what!) We go to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.  Only one excursion booked, ATV's in Mexico, nothing else appealed!  We will do similar to you and find "local inspired" lunch spots.  Also, dying to know if B (I feel like I know her lol) liked Verity.  I noticed that was the book she was reading... avid reader here and i just don't think I'm a Coleen Hoover fan lol although Verity has an ending that opens up a wide variety of interpretations!  Off topic totally... loved your review and all the pictures... thank you again!

  8. Hi! We are cruising out of Galveston on July 23rd.  We will overnight in Houston and are planning a late check in to avoid the crowds and chaos. What we would love is to find a great restaurant within walking distance of the pier (because we will have our luggage with us).  Any recommendations?  My husband is convinced we are out of luck and that there aren't usually restaurants close to where ships board.  I would love to prove him wrong lol  Please and thank you!

  9. Wow this insight is really surprising me!  We are Cruising in three weeks and we've been making jokes about the 15 drink maximum with the package.  We honestly aren't sure how many drinks we will be drinking! lol It's pretty easy to start the day with a few bloody mary's or mimosas, then a few beers by the pool, and if you are me, many glasses of wine over dinner!  Nevermind a few drinks after dinner and then of course a nightcap before bed!  This is vacation after all! Maybe not every day of the Cruise, but who is Carnival to judge what a person's tolerance is! Of course obnoxious intoxication needs to be stopped, but how about just the average person who knows their limits and when they need to stop?  And I guess you guys have answered our question whether or not the 15 drinks carries over to the next day... obviously not if we are capped at 15.  I am happy I found this thread, thank you!

  10. Wow okay!  I stand corrected lol  I understand policies in place but as one responder commented it doesn't make sense to me.  Infact the way we look at it is that we are helping Norweigan out.  It will be far easier to sell our balcony cabins than a Haven suite.  Anyway!  We will be keeping our connecting balconies and saving our money for the few days prior we are in New York.  Thank you for your responses!

  11. I would love some help please and thank you!  We are trying desperately to upgrade (not bid to upgrade, upgrade straight up) our two adjoining balcony cabins on our upcoming Cruise to a 2 bedroom family haven villa.  Every customer service rep we talk to thinks we are asking the impossible and wants to cancel our existing reservation, charge us a 75% cancellation fee and make a new reservation all together.  SIGH!  All have said they need to "speak to a Manager" and then proceed to put us on hold for a half hour to an hour and come back with "that option isn't available". There has to me a way.  Does anyone have a different phone number we could try calling?  Or maybe a trusted NCL individual we could contact?  Or does anyone know how to get a Manager on the phone when we call? It doesn't make sense that we are wanting to upgrade for a 5-6K upcharge and they are dismissing us so quickly!  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  12. Don't worry about your flight time!  Trust NCL knew what they were doing when they booked it for you... anyway, out of your control.  Just think, instead of sitting around for hours at the Pier waiting to embark you will get to pretty much walk straight on! Ha!  Sounds like a way better plan to me lol

We go on this same Cruise but not till July 14th!  So excited.. we have never been to New York and can't wait to see and explore!!
