I would choose the Celebrity suite over the Sky unless there is a corner aft Sky available. The Celebrity suite has a separate bedroom, but the most important difference to me is the dining table in the Celebrity suite. I think it really depends on whether $1,400 is a lot of money to you. On Royal we prefer the Grand suite and on Celebrity, either the Celebrity suite or
We were loyal to royal for years and years, but after sailing on Celebrity we now sail more on them than Royal. You will be Elite on Celebrity and we've found that the Elite happy hour groups have had great people.
Yes the Sky suite is similar to a junior suite on Royal.
Have a great trip!

Those aft cabins are the best!
For us, the best perk was the breakfast menu because we are early risers. We would put our menu picks out the night before and viola, they would bring them in the morning and we would have breakfast on the balcony! Congratulations on getting one of those cabins!

The aft balcony is really nice in that you have recliners and chairs ...and actual room to move around. On a hot itinerary it gets hot back there, but the larger area is a real bonus. Having breakfast and hors dourves/wine out there is worth it to me.
The hump rooms are nice rooms. Slightly off-center of the hump you get a bigger balcony with one recliner and two chairs, with a great view. Haven't been in a straight-on hump room. It is closer to elevators, which I know you said isn't a problem, it wasn't for us either...but after having a hump room, I would have to say I preferred the location compared to being all the way at the back. Loved the off-center room we had for the view and larger balcony.
In conclusion, I'd say it depends on the itinerary, but you'll be happy with either. If you've never had a bigger balcony, it might be worth it to try the rear.
Have a great trip!
Bali bound!
in Star Clippers

I just booked the Bali eastbound trip for July! We haven't been on the Star Clipper before, but we love the Windstar in Tahiti so I figured this would be awesome. Plus, I found a 20 hour flight with only a one hour layover. Komodo dragons, here we come!
