How do people get the patterns to play mahjong on board?

I personally find smart black trousers and nice tops are fine in the MDR however due to luggage restrictions (doing further travel before and after the cruise) I skip the gala nights in the MDR but can still feel comfortable around the rest of the ship. Especially if I’m on a table with very dressy people out of respect for them although by then they mostly know we are on a long trip. Also some fake pearls can help!

I am also watching the excursion list for this cruise.
Thankyou for the information so far.

Thankyou very much for all the information which is very helpful.
I had no idea the details were all on the website.
I understand how these times can of course change especially if someone takes your parking space exlondoner!

I am on a Cunard cruise in October and would like to find the scheduled port arrival and departure times.
I cannot see the precise times on the Cunard site other than generalised “morning” and “afternoon” unlike most other cruise lines.
How can I find the arrival and departure times?
Many thanks for any assistance.

Thanks Bell Boy that’s great to know

I had a look at the roll call for the Barcelona to Australia cruise and it is very quiet.
Hopefully the shore excursions will be listed soon including Luxor. I don’t think I am brave enough to do a one day private Luxor tour.

Hi alibabacruisers
Yes it’s nice to meet someone else from our cruise
Luxor is the only essential shore excursion on the cruise for me and thanks Solent Richard I will have a read of your blog. I’ve already enjoyed your Oman and Port Elizabeth port excursions.
I’m very excited about the cruise!
Perhaps the Roll Call will become more active as we get closer to the sailing date
See you on board
Jane

We have just watched from North Mole the magnificent Queen Mary 2 sail quietly out of Fremantle in the darkness a few minutes early at 7.20pm local time.
There were only a few people on deck and it was very eerie. There was no band playing, no Land of Hope and Glory and not as many Perth people as usual to wave her goodbye.
We wish her and all aboard God Speed home to Southampton and all the passengers in Perth well for their onward arrangements.

Welcome to Fremantle and especially to our Canadian friends on board the Regatta.
It’s a lovely cool day here in Perth today and so perfect for touring our city and countryside. At this time of year it can be north of 40C!
Have fun in port.

Thanks mking8288 for your help
-
Thankyou mking8288 for your comments which I found helpful as I will be in Incheon on a cruise. Can you help with the following questions?
Can I get a taxi from the port to the subway station? How far is it? Is there a website where I can find out which dock the ship will use?
-
Well I can't see what time the QM11 arrives in Port Louis on our upcoming Fremantle to Cape Town cruise. Just "early morning" in our shore excursion booklet. I would like a more precise time for arranging a private shore tour!

Trubey could it have been Taroudant that you visited from Agadir?
Thank you for your comments about the guide scam!

Thank you QM2_SYD I will be up on deck!

Many thanks QM2_SYD

Thanks for the information and also ask.cunard which I didn't know about!
Where do you think the shuttle stop will be in the city?
PS all packed and ready to go
-
Thank you Salacia for the link to the article. It's most interesting.
I'm not sure if this is the same terminal as the Grain Terminal.
I hope there is a shuttle into the city. Anyone know?
-
We will be on board the QM 2 soon and stopping in Brisbane for a day. I understand the ship docks at the Grain Terminal which is a fair way from the CBD with no public transport.
Will there be a shuttle service? And the likely cost?
Many thanks for any help.
I watched her depart Fremantle a few days ago and she's certainly a grand ship!

Thanks Oahucruiser
I have looked up Padang Bai on google maps
I expect we would tender ashore!

The beautiful QE has dulled her lights at night as we sail out of the Red Sea.
However the night before last the ship was lit up like a Christmas tree whilst sailing through the most incredible lightening storm sometime after 3am. The lightening was continuous and very close and the ship seemed to list towards starboard. I have never experienced anything like it! I thought it was rocket fire at first on waking although thankfully I’ve also never experienced anything like that either. Next morning the deck staff were sweeping up the sand after the storm. Wow it was amazing.
Now we continue to sail serenely toward our next port in Oman.
