You can take a taxi to the hotel from the airport. If your room is not ready when you check in the hotel should be able to hold your luggage for you while you sightsee .

I would choose Solstice for Alaska for the naturalist Brent Nixon. We just did the cruise in May. He was a highlight. We loved everything about the ship and cruise.

We just got off the Solstice on Friday and booked another onboard. We were told we had choice to use the onboard credit on the cruise we were on or the later cruise. We chose to use later. We were also told it would be no problem changing the booking.

We were Aqua class on our last ten day cruise and ate in Blu. One night we ate in the main dining room with some friends we had met. We really noticed how loud it was compared to Blu and the food didn't seem as hot or as freshly prepared as we were used to. After that we decided we will always go Aqua class just for Blu restaurant.
