We just got back- for $25 we had open bar, food, and were right on the beach- the Carnival area also is right against the pier- not the most picturesque place. The place we "rented" beach chairs from also had great free WiFi on the beach!

We just got back - rented bikes on Cozumel for the day- I highly recommend this....great way to see the Island, stop where you want. Everyone we met was wonderful and we had the time of our life!

Every time I have snorkeled in Cozumel I have booked through Island Marketing and done the glass bottom boat tour snorkeling. This excursion takes you to 3 reefs in small groups - I have never done one with more than 6 people and twice done it when it was just my 2 kids and myself. One time the star fish were migrating and we made an extra stop to snorkel in a star fish breeding ground- it was amazing!

I have never had an issue on any of my CCL cruises with Fun Shop orders- make sure to print your email confirmation from the Fun Shops just in case. If you do have an issue take the print out to guest services- Happy sailing ! :)

I booked solo with and interior upper/lower then added my daughter to the booking 30 days before sailing on a 5 night cruise. We had plenty of room, the only real issue is who gets the top bunk :D

I know a person is allowed one bottle of wine in their carry on- but I do not see anything on the CCL web site about the size allowed. Does this apply to only the standard 750 ML or can a person bring a magnum ( 1.5 L) ?
Thanks!!!

There is nothing about Celestun on the Carnival website :-(

It depends on the age of your children. For older kids they have planned night time activities (free), but for younger they have "child care" service for a fee. My son started cruising when he was 9 yrs old ( in 2004) and I never paid for any night time activities for him through the years.

I have sailed on the Elation 3 times, going again this Sept, and love this ship!. While it does not have all the bells and whistles some of the other ships do- the staff is wonderful and because it's a smaller ship they seem to get to know the passengers and service in all areas seems more "personal".

I have gotten an upgrade on the Elation after boarding- went from an interior on the Upper to an OV on the Empress- no charge :-).
Good luck

Does Carnival still offer the Celestun Biosphere Reserve tour. I did this on my first trip to Progresso years ago- would love to go again!

I did the "free" galley tour a few years ago on the Elation, but my past CCL cruises you had to sign up and pay- similar to booking a shore excursion. Its very interesting to see how it works and definitely worth it if you are a culinary student ( I am a LCB graduate)

I have the same problem today- can not sign up- telling me the access code has expired. I have tried it with Chrome, IE and Firefox - no luck!

I subscribe to a local news outlet in the Progreso area and in the past weeks have seen an influx of crimes( including murder) against/and in tourist areas of Progreso. I have not been to this location in 4 years...Is this area still deemed safe I am leaving Sept on Carnival Triumph
