  1. Wondering if anyone had experience making 1040am flight after cruise in San Francisco. Arriving on a Monday morning and wondering if I walk off w luggage if this is doable. Relative says there’s a lot of fog in San Francisco and ***** could be late docking. Does the fog affect docking?

  2. I would like to do this tour but don't want to commit to booking in advance (unsure if I will be up to it as I had recent surgery). Would I be able to purchase this tour w Island marketing on the pier? Or would there not be time because its a full day. If so, any suggestions of where to go once off ship?

  3. Wow such quick replies! Thank you!  I had planned to get alcohol at Mega in Cozumel. Leaving 3/2/19 Caribbean Princess and I believe Mega is the best prices on this western itinerary . Ive been reading and reading about what to do and overwhelmed. Got it down to royal palms on grand cayman; nachi cocom or paradise beach Cozumel; belieze ruins but which one? Roatan west bay or staying at mahogany..not sure

  4. Looks like there are six ships in port the 25th. Checking their website, it looks like they have available check in times every hour from 7:30am to 4:30pm with the exception of 12:30pm. I'm guessing that they will have availability, but I would probably contact them to see if they do indeed offer the excursion of your choice at the pier and inquire about discounts there.

We have our Mendenhall Glacier/Whale Watch combo tour prepurchased from them back in May for our September cruise - there was a promo code on their website that saved us 15%.........

I don't know when they changed it but now the promo code is good on the whale watch only:(:(. But still want to do combo and when I called they said I could book separately to use promo but then there is really not much difference in price ($115-15%=$97.25+$35 is $132 vs $135w/o discount)

  5. They define same-day as up to 10:00AM the day after arrival, so you will be able to use luggage valet.

Thank You for sharing all your valuable knowledge! This will make the day so much more carefree. Where can I find this info..I think all I saw was up to 6pm same day somewhere.

  6. This review, w pics, videos and me us all th stairs, is PERFECT!! Thank you just what I need as on Pearl 7/23. You say you walked from South Lake Union to Seattle Center then back to Pike Place. Tell me everything you can as I was planning to do same on day we disembark since my flight is late Redeye. How long would you say these jaunts take each? I plan to walk to SLU then walk ChilulynNd then back.to pier. Are these pretty easy jaunts?

  7. Actually, you don't have to deal with all the hills to Pier 66 - there's a skybridge and elevator to get you down to the waterfront level. It's a ten minute walk - head north from the hotel on 2nd, walk a couple blocks north, head west on Bell to where it dead-ends at Elliott. There you'll find the sky bridge and elevator that ends at the cruise terminal. It actually works much better than people would expect.

I echo the point that SLU is dead on weekends and after dark.

Thank you Vibeguy exactly the info I was looking for:D

  8. Hi yes on Sunday the 30th we have to fill the whole day walking around! Can't utilize baggage to airport service b/c it's only for same day flights and since it's a 100am flight on 7/31 I don't think it will qualify:(. But I did read that center for wooden boats gives free rides on sundays. So is it doable to walk to this side of town..what's the safest most walkable route i.e. Not highways?a also how far/long. Also, will lugging luggage be an issue.. We might store at pier but that's only til 330pm. Was trying to come up w/ something to do Sunday late afternoon like (a play) to fill the time. Any other suggestions. I know I could pay for airport lounge but I'd rather "do"something with the money than sit in airport.

I have found great suggestions reading here. Thinking we will go first to center for wooden boats, then walk(again is this doable?) to Seattle Center then back to pier take ferry to west Seattle or Bremerton. I'm thinking this morning should take up most of day but going to airport at 5 or 6pm would still leaveit 6-7 hours in airport.

  9. Hi. We leaving Saturday for 7/23 cruise on Pearl. Our flight lands at Seatac at 5:40pm. Plan to take light rail to Westlake Center and then walk to Kimpton Palladian. It looks close on map. I am a little concerned though about walking around town. How long would it take to walk to the ship? I called and spoke w hotel and were not reassuring when I asked about walking to ship telling me it's very hilly. How long of a walk is it and what is the best route for access to pier 66? Also wondering about walking to Seattle Center. Is it safe?i googled and is says it's only a mile but I could not tell if there are sidewalks all the way. What's the best route here. Also need to fill the whole day walking around when return on 7/30 because our flight doesn't depart until 1:00am--its gonna be a long day walking around! But wanted to know if walking to South Lake Union is doable from pier since we have so much time on our hands (I know we can get streetcar from Westlake Center if needed)

  10. Thanks for review. I am on Pearl 7/23/17. A few questions.

    1) when on train which way did you take it for the view to be on right did you use train going or coming back from. To which which city did you take the train and who was excursion with?

    2) what is Stony Moose? A spa?

    3) how did you book tour in Juneau.. At dock?

    4) any other tips as I just booked this a few days ago and under gun to make quick plans

    Thank you

  11. Just relax and try not to worry about it. I have always flown in the same day and have made it...but do have a couple memorable stories. As a matter of fact, I'm on the EPic on march 9th flying into FLL at 1130am. Might there be a problem.. Sure but that was the best flight I could get on short notice so I'm hoping everything will be like all the others and be fine.

First, just enjoy your wedding day and try not to stress too much about it! All the best to you both!

  12. The best method of keeping in touch is the iconcierge app, if your phones will run it. You pay a fee to activate the messaging/calling function and then you can keep in touch using the ships wifi, with no further charges.

Some people have reported times when you lose connection, buy generally I believe it's pretty reliable.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It says on NCL website that internet minute charges apply when wifi is accessed. Are u sure this app is free to use once downloaded?

  13. Looking for the cheapest way to get my son (who will be staying with a student at Floriday Atlantic University) from Jupiter to meet me at either the airport, a hotel, or the cruise ship. This is what I have come up with

    1) Taxi cost is about $130

    2) Private car service about $180

    3) He could take a bus from the university to the northern most Tri-Rail Station in West Palm Beach. This would take two hours by bus to the Tri-Rail and then another 2 hours on the train, and would be the cheapest at $5 for the Tri-Rail. But too much hassle

    4) My other child and I were going to fly into FLL and get a transport to Port Everglades on same day, however, I could fly in the day before to PBI, rent a car from there and then pick him up in Jupiter and then drive to Port Everglades, renting from a company who will take us to the ship. and then would have to pay for a hotel in either PBI/Jupiter or FLL depending on where I end up. I'm guessing this would cost about $70 for the one day car rental and about $100-$120 for the hotel night. IS THERE A CHEAPER, EAISER WAY??? HELP
