  1. This will be our first celebrity cruise and Im starting to realise that I should have done much more research. We have sailed previously 3 times on Azamara and thought that this sister company would be similar. I have now discovered we will not qualify for any internet minutes, we are 1 point out. There is no self service laundry and the drinks, which are not included in our package seem to be very expensive.

Today i have also read that if you have booked Anytime dining this cancels out your chance to eat in Blu, which was the main reason for booking Aqua Class.

Is this true? And if so can we do anything about it?

    Thanks

You can eat in Blu at any meal offered if you are in aqua class. No worries! It is open seating, the food is great. We were on Connie in February and it was excellent! Upgrade your drink package to premium and you can have just about anything on the drink menu included. The differential is only 11 bucks per person per day, the cost of one drink with tip.

As far as the internet minutes go, you get a coupon for internet time based on your CC status. Our RCI status made us elite in captains club, so we got a 90 minute coupon. I used 10 minutes to book a hotel room since our flight home was canceled. Internet connectivity was sketchy onboard anyway, so I wouldn't focus on that too much.

Have a great time! X will treat you well.....

  2. We were in rm 9045 on the Feb 8 sailing. All of the AQ balconies have 2 chairs and a table. There is also plenty of shade due to the overhang from the solarium on deck 10. Overall, the rooms are nice, and the ship is well maintained. The spa on deck 10 is very close to the forward AQ rooms on 9.

Enjoy! We are still in post-cruise withdrawal.....

  3. We came off of Connie on February 13. You have it clear customs in Fort Lauderdale whether you self disembark or not. There are 3-4 lines, and ICE takes their time with the process. There is no preferential treatment for anyone once you leave the boat. In San Juan, the porters get their own line. Not so at the terminal that Connie was docked at. It takes about 20 minutes or so to clear customs, longer if they decide to inspect your bags.

  4. I posted this question and others over on the Key West Board but no one has answered any of my questions there. No one. No one answers quicker than these folks here on the Celebrity board!

Am hoping someone can tell me if Key West is flat and good for bicycle rides? I see they rent a lot of bikes, just seeing if it is nice and flat and easy to ride. We have never been there so I have no idea. Bringing our tweens ( 9 and 11) and love to bike but don't want to wear everyone out if it is really hilly.

I also wondered if there was a better bike rental place there that would come recommended.

    Any answers are appreciated. Thanks.

We just got home from our cruise on Connie. Key West is very flat, and bicycle friendly. If the boys are outdoors oriented, then I would very highly recommend a boat excursion for snorkeling or fishing. The fishing nearby is excellent by reputation, so they may enjoy it. The little White House and Hemingway house are quite honestly, boring for most 10 year old boys. The restaurants in town are very good, and very friendly.

    Have a great time!

  5. Take the later flight. RCCL will try to get you off the boat early (7 am-ish) but then getting you luggage and everything else will be tight. Plus, the Orlando airport is an hour from Port Canaveral. The Port is chaos on Sunday mornings; Disney Wonder is in port, so is a Carnival boat, and Freedom. So, there is about 5000+ people in the Port on Sundays. We did a VIP tour of Kennedy Space Center the day we disembarked from Mariner. It was a great tour, our kids loved it, and it was a great way to spend the day. Just an idea!
