I have been trying to book the Ultimate dining package for my cruise, for a few days now. 

It keeps giving me a message saying that it is unavailable. Is this happening to anyone else? 

We have never had this issue before.

After looking at the Harmony on the list, I am wondering if the captain rotation is 11 weeks on/off. Is this the case? Trying to figure out who it will be this December.

Wonderful!!! You have no idea how much better I feel now. I thought it would be so weird if they only had one small closet and was not sure where to put all the clothes that required hanging.

All of the pictures I looked up only showed the one with the shelves.

I searched the forum for this, so please forgive me if I missed it.

When looking at the pictures of the Harmony's closet area, it seems to be a lot smaller than the ones on other ships.

We typically hang all of our evening clothes and fill up the closet pretty well.

I guess we are just curious if it is a lot smaller or if the picture just makes it look that way (the part that has the hanging bar - not the shelves).

Hey everyone!

We will be docking in San Juan from 7:00-2:00 next Thursday, the 22nd. We want to get off the ship early and get some amazing local breakfast. :hearteyes:

I would love to hear your favorite café’/restaurant in San Juan (for breakfast or for lunch).

We want to go someplace that has amazing coffee (where they make those pictures on the top with the foam) LOL and just really great food. If they have the sweet bread sandwiches with ham, cheese and egg, that is a plus! J

That is correct, but thank you for the information. We were there for an hour in 2007 and since it was late they told us to sit wherever we liked. We did not pay for anything and did not go toward the resort to find out if we were allowed to use the restrooms and restaurant. This helps a lot. Thanks again!

I will try to get him in the first day, if that doesn't work we will try to stand-by route if they won't let him in with us. :) For dinners...it sounds like we will have an easier time. We may be booking a specialty restaurant or 2 once onboard. Maybe those nights would be the good ones to do that. LOL

We think that snorkeling is better at Divi Little Bay than at Dawn - partly because sea conditions are more reliably calm at Divi. Dawn has (or had) a much better reef but the building of the Westin did great damage to the reef. (Why many of us have very negative feelings about the Westin.) Divi does not have a real reef - it has rocks on which there is some coral growth - but you are very likely to see more fish and marine animals at Divi.

 

Neither Dawn nor Divi will be crowded like Coki (on St. Thomas) can be crowded. Very different feeling from Coki on either.

Ok that sounds great actually. Just looking for a good beach to enjoy the day and that will be closer to the boardwalk and shopping on our way back! I'm assuming they rent the usual things like chairs/umbrellas and have food/drink at the resort that we could purchase?

Thank you everyone! This is great information. I really want to go there, but if it is typically less people at Little Divi Bay, would that be better? I guess my main question would be, do they have pretty good snorkeling there too???

Dawn is definitely not out of the question, just trying to avoid being packed in like sardines (they way we were at Coki in St.Thomas a few years back) ...but even Coki was amazing!!!!!

Hi everyone!

I am just wondering if anyone has had this experience and how it turned out. We added an additional person to our family cruise, last week!

We had all of our dinner and show reservations done for 2 months already. Anyway, I was able to get him into all but 2 shows and all of the dining (but he is 1/2 hour after us for 3 of the nights).

If we go to the dining room after boarding and ask them, will they change us to a party of 5 and allow him to dine with us at our time?

Also - do they save some show reservations for people to book the first day? Since 4 of us are already booked for the 2 shows that we can't get him in, what are our chances of getting him in those?

Hi everyone! We want to go to Dawn Beach on the 15th. We will be coming in on the Oasis. Does anyone who is "in the know" have any idea how busy this beach will be on that day (based on number of cruise ships)?

How far is a taxi from the port? Is that the best way to get there?

And finally, what is available there? (lounge chairs, umbrellas, food, drink, bathrooms???? and prices?) Thanks for any help!

We have only been to Little Divi beach, Maho, and Orient.

We are now 18 days from when we leave for the port, and I need to book specialty restaurants before the 11/24 cutoff, if at all possible. Does anyone have pictures of the main dining room new menus on Oasis? Also, what order they are in currently for the Eastern itinerary? Thanks so much!!!!

I know this is a common thread, but I have not seen any menus posted since many months ago. Does anyone have the current ones they could post? (and the order they are used on the Eastern itinerary)? Working on booking specialty restaurants today. Current compasses would be great too!!

Thanks Bob! My mom was originally in the cabin alone until my daughter realized she could afford the cruise. At that point, she was put in my mom's cabin and paid half of the final payment.

My mom agreed to give that money back to her to use for her other cabin since she was planning on paying as a solo traveler anyway in the beginning. So, all parties are fine with that.

I was hoping it would be as easy as just switching her to the other reservation.

Hi everyone!

I have a question that I have not yet seen on here. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out.

We booked 2 balcony staterooms last January, for the Oasis of the Seas 12/11/16 cruise.

We have 2 people in each stateroom.

Now, our daughter's boyfriend is able to get off work and will be joining us. He is getting an inside cabin for himself. My daughter is going to be switching to his cabin (they are both over the age required to book their own cabins).

How do I go about moving her reservation to his cabin, thus allowing my mom to have her own? The reason I am concerned and don't want to just make the change once we are onboard is because their cabin will be on a different deck and area than us and I don't want her tips to go to the wrong place. In other words, I want to be sure their cabin steward will get the tips that he/she deserves since there will be 2 people in there, and not just get tips for one.

Do I call our original travel agent to make the switch? Keep in mind there are 2 travel agencies involved. HELP!!! :):confused:

I booked through valuetrips.com for Hyatt Place for March, how long does it generally take to hear back from them. I did it Sunday night.

I never got a confirmation. About 2 or 3 days after booking I called the Hyatt Place and confirmed our reservation and asked them to email it to me. They were very nice and friendly! !

Great topic! I love the shows!!

Mama Mia was my very favorite, but we are among the few that loved Cats as well. (Hairspray was great too).

For regular non-broadway production shows, I love "Come Fly with me" on Oasis best, followed by the show on Freedom where they do songs from various broadway shows.

In our opinion, the talent on Royal blows away anything we saw on other cruise lines. One of the many reasons we have decided not to wander away from RC anymore LOL!!

We loved the silent disco on Freedom last month and are wondering if there is one on the Oasis.

I briefly scanned the Compass that someone posted, but did not see it. Plus, we did not know it existed until last month so we wouldn't have been looking for it on Oasis last June.

We regularly stay at Dawn Beach for a couple of weeks every January - rarely is it too rough for swimming, and, while there is some seaweed - it is regularly and effectively removed.
