  1. Thank you for the feedback! I am so glad to hear the experience was great. Ricardo seems to be really on the ball with everything. Did you have to call Ricardo/Liberty when you arrived in Port or were they just there waiting for you? I only ask because we typically don't turn on our cell phones while cruising in fear of excessive data charges, etc.

He will send you instructions on where to meet. He did ask for a contact number and I did bring my phone in case but didn't turn it on. We had no problem finding our guide with his instructions. He will email you the instructions I printed them out and brought them with me. You will have a great time. I chickened out on the falls jump:o but did most of the others.

  2. Hey, we'll be cruising on Royal Caribbean for the first time in January 2015, so I was online checking out potential drink packages. When looking at them, the lists of available alcoholic beverages indicated beer, wine, cocktails and of course non- alcoholic soft drinks. However, as cider is my favourite alcoholic drink I was looking for it and couldn't see it listed in any of the drinks packages. Rather than simply assume that it was cateogorised under beer, I rang up Royal Caribbean, and here's the thing- the young guy I spoke to didn't have any idea what cider was! So, I asked him what he thought it was - JUICE was his reply! Needless to say, my husband and I decided not to bother with drinks packages! As the cheapest package starts at approximately $45.00 Australian per person per day, the fact that we're allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine each onboard at the start, plus we'll probably get drinks at the Meet and Greets, the Captain's Cocktails, possible champagne at Art Auctions, possibly there will be a Champagne Fountain, and plus we'll be wine tasting in New Zealand - hey. .. we're not going to bother with drinks packages- especially when it doesn't look like I'll be getting any cider on Royal Caribbean, because they don't know what it is!!!!
Just got off the FOS on a Caribbean cruise yes it was hard to get them to understand what I wanted they had Strongbow at the pub on the promenade but was not available at the Ice show and Theatre so not sure where else on the ship you could get it. I was wondering if I could have brought two bottles onboard as the bottles I bought in upsate NY look like wine bottles and it says sparkling cider. Good luck in finding it. They also didn't have Sailor Jerry rum which is awesome in Angry Orchard.:D
  3. We've just booked with Ricardo of Liberty Tours. He was very personable and knowledgeable over the telephone and email. We look forward to our Blue Hole excursion in January :)
We just finished our tour with Liberty Tours our guide was Rose Marie she was great. Ricardo called me 2 times the week prior to confirm our tour and make sure we knew how to reach him when in port. They did not require a deposit and took cash payment when we arrived. We did the Blue Hole AMAZING then Juicy Patties and then Scotchies what a great day! Ricardo and his team are the best.:D
  4. In the Orlando area, there's only one exit I can think of that's SunPass/EPass only. It's on the Turnpike between I-4 and the Osceola Parkway. You'd pass it, perhaps, if you were going to the Florida Mall area from Universal. There's another exit for cash lanes; just avoid the one with the big SunPass sign that also says, "Cash not accepted." They mean it. ;)

    Thanks for the info.

  5. Well, I can only give advice based on what we're planning and what I have researched, as this will be our first time in Labadee. :)

We've booked an over-the-water cabana just for the two of us in May. It's our 25th anniversary, so it seemed like a "romantic splurge" we'd never do otherwise. We were thinking about the zip line, but that's nearly $200 for two people, and the cabana was only $250 (and you have it all day), so that was quickly a no-brainer.

The beach cabanas seem to have a lot of foot traffic going past, while if you get any over-the-water cabana (other than #1), it's fairly private with views and entries directly to the water.

Thank you for your response. You are right I have been to Labadee before and there is a lot of foot traffic we walked by the beach ones to check them out for a trip with DD and SIL. I did the flight line and it was expensive since it s a short practice run and then the one line over the water. I have done one in Costa Rica and outside Las Vegas and they were around 120.00 with several lines. Have fun enjoy your trip. Happy Anniversary.:D
  6. No, definitely not free. Rates run between $225 and $250 per CABANA (not per person) for up to 6 people max, price is dependent upon cabana type (over the water, beach or hillside). Prices are the same on Barefoot Beach (suite guests) as they are on Nellie's Beach (non-suite guests).

The suite benefits are indeed the exclusive beach area, the "enhanced" buffet, and the ability to reserve through the concierge instead of trying to reserve months in advance on RCI's website.

We are looking to get one in September. We are not in a suite any thoughts on over the water or the beach. Thanks for your thoughts.
