It may not be to you but apparently it is to a lot of people because it's always sold out. We have bought it for our last three cruises and thought it was money well spent.
LOL, why do you think it’s always “sold out” and then magically available again. Carnival knows how to get suckers to buy.

You want to go to that length to give a snarky comment that adds nothing to the conversation?
It added a little. Now I know I’m not the only one that thinks this is flat stupid.

Where is Tandoor located on the Dream?

People on Carnival must really go to horrible hamburger places if they find the guyburger (also known as the grease Burger) good.
FYI, you’re WAY in the minority with everyone I’ve talked to.

Why blame the Carnival guy? If it's just towels, move them, and if someone ask just own it.
Some people get nervous about moving towels. Just trying to help them out.

I guess it depends if this is a “big” vacation and a splurge is in order. For most people, an Alaskan cruise is a one time deal. In that case, I’d recommend a balcony.

I agree that a nice big, juicy burger is heaven. Guy's burgers are ok, but they are not a big (thick), juicy burger. They are a very acceptable large (but flat), greasy burger. I will probably have one on my next cruise and enjoy it, but realize that it doesn't compare to the local brew pub and their thick 1/2# burger;p
Get a double or triple cheeseburger then. Problem solved and I promise you won’t be calling it flat or thin.

Just move the towels. No big deal. If they come back, say a Carnival guy moved them.

Is this the same tour ? https://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/cozumel/cozumel-jeep-adventure-excursion/ . We were considering this as well
No, that is not it. I'm asking about the .net one Beachlover1989 went on. Hoping to hear back on how it went.

This is the dot net which gets very good reviews on TripAdvisor. It is $69 each which I thought was reasonable. They specifically say you don't pay for anything else except to tip the guide. I'll have to let you know how it goes!

Beachlover1989, how was the Custom Private Cozumel Jeep Tour? The .net one. I'm considering it and am looking for feedback. Thanks!

Pellaz, thanks for the ideas! We'll be hitting Governor's Beach for sure. I will check out the south tip of the island too. Lighthouse and Cockburn Town is also on the list.
mitsugirly, great review! I learned a lot reading it and looking at the pictures.
I'll try to get the scoop on book donations while we're there. We're bringing a backpack of stuff for kids on the Dominican Republic, so we won't have room for books this time. I'll report back what I find out.
I see a few spots on the map that you can check out the east side of the island, might be a nice view, so we'll check that out too.
I've got maps downloaded to a GPS device, so I'm hoping we won't need paper maps and we won't get lost!
Thanks all!

I guess most people on these boards are Americans. Chinese, Japanese and Indian are probably laughing at how pathetic some people seem to be posting about how this would be intolerable and cramped! This might be why most of the world hates Americans.
I think you would be just fine with 5 in a room. Of course it depends on your family, but there are other bathrooms on the ship that you can use if needed. Maybe some of these other posters just hang out in their room the entire cruise, but if you're mostly out and about enjoying the cruise, you will be fine with 5 in one cabin.

Hello, I've got a few ideas in mind, but I'm looking for suggestions of things you love to do while in Grand Turk. Family of 4, kids are 13 and 11. We'll have our own snorkel gear and plan to stop a place or two to snorkel, we know it won't be that good, but it will be better than the snorkeling is in Illinois! :D
So any places or things to do that you would suggest to someone with a golf cart would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I'm interested as well. Hopefully someone will reply.

Snobbist! New word. The real question, is there such a thing as reverse snobbism? I’m thinking so.

I'm glad you posted this question! I've heard the same thing about Ecstasy not having lobster on their 7 day cruises and I was a little disappointed because I have a 7 day booked for the Ecstasy for New Years. I know the lobster isn't the best, but it's better than nothing. :D
audcc77, report back on how the lobster was. I hope you have a great cruise!

Umm.... you don't have to "sneak" water on. You are allowed to bring water onboard. It's just limited as to how much.
Umm.... You do have to sneak water on if you want enough, especially for a seven day cruise. Heck with sneaking water on though, sneak hard liquor! We have to make Carnival pay for stealing this water away from us!!!!
-
Are they allowed to cancel the order and credit your money back if you already paid? It was their mistake to list the water at that price. I thought most companies just honored the price to the people that bought it. I hear all the time about people getting good deals on Amazon and other sites due to a pricing error.

I like Mountain Dew and Ski, and I don't care if someone else thinks it's tacky. It's my vacation and I'm going to enjoy it. That said, I really enjoy ice water or tea with my dinner, so I wouldn't need to bring a soda with me for that.

This was an awesome excursion. The scenery is beautiful and the food/drinks are good too!

Hi, I'm sailing on Valor in June and Carnival isn't offering any tours the day we come back. I would like to do an airboat tour and then get a transfer to MCO. My flight leaves MCO at 4:30pm, so I have quite a bit of time. Anyone have any suggestions for something like that or something better? Thanks!

But you don't HAVE to spend anything extra. No one is forcing you to pay for the upcharge items. They're there if you want them, but there are free/included alternatives.
You do see the trend though, don't you? Soon the only thing you'll get for "free" is a hotdog and french fries in the MDR. The cost of the cruise is supposed to include quality food and drink, at least is used to. Not anymore. Now there's all kinds of "upgrades" you can buy. The people buying these will drive the cruise lines to do more and more of it. As long as the price of the cruise goes down, that's fair, but I don't think the price is coming down. They're charging the same amount and now charging for decent room service food, MDR food, decent coffee and who knows what is next. I heard desserts in the MDR is next. Sure you can still get lower quality stuff for free, but it's a shame watching this happen and knowing where it's going.

I like a good Bloody Mary! What bar would you say makes the best?
Also, that coconut thing from Maria sounds and looks awesome! What's the details on that?
Loving this review, keep up the great work!
