Looks like you have it under control, but for the benefit of others, I have stayed at Comfort Hotel downtown and highly recommend it. Nothing fancy, but convenient and comfortable. Their driver to the airport took our luggage all the way in to customs. Nice!

Oslo has an excellent Hop-On Hop-Off bus that visits all the key attractions and has a good audio commentary along the way. Stops at the cruise terminal, so couldn't be more convenient. Accepts credit cards.

My wife and I are sailing on Regal Princess from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Petersburg on 15 April. The ship arrives in St. Petersburg on 8 May and we will be flying back to the US on 9 May from Saint Petersburg Pulkovo 1 on Air France. Airport transfer is being arranged by the ship.

I've found conflicting info on the type of Russian visa required for the transfer. Tourist or Transit? A tourist visa requires confirmation that the foreign tourist is going to be hosted by a Russian travel agency, which isn't the case here.

Does anyone have experience with this that could be shared?
