Yes, the Scavi tour. It isn’t a turn around day, but it is a day where some will disembark and others embark for the next portion of the cruise. I have been putting an earlier time into the search, but not finding times that work. Sounds like I will need to try and get a later time for our tour, just to be on the safe side.

I’m an experienced cruiser, but booked my first trip to Europe this summer on Enchanted Princess. We arrive on June 24 at Civitavecchia at 05:00. I have arranged for a tour of the Necropolis in Rome at 09:15, through the Vatican. I plan to travel by train between port and Rome. Searching train schedules, I can’t find a train leaving Civitavecchia earlier than 09:00. Is this correct, or is there an earlier train that I am not seeing? I am hoping my tour time at the Necropolis will work, as I’m not sure how easy it would be to request a later time.

We will be on the Vista in January 2018 and stopping for a day in La Romana, We have decided we want to spend most of our time in Catalina snorkeling. We have our own snorkel gear and want to spend more than 2 hours snorkeling there; thus, we don't want to book an excursion in order to maximize our time there, and also to save money, as an excursion for a family of 4 is quite expensive. Is it possible to get to Catalina from Bayahibe via water taxi?

Just off the Splendor today and they scanned our sign and sail cards with an iPad at our muster station.

Update: Carnival will be giving those of us on the ship now a 50% refund for our cruise fare, and a 50% credit off a future cruise. I feel that is very fair. On a side note, however, we are starting to smell sewage!

I am on the Splendor now. Yes, only one engine is working. The other is completely dead. We are only going about 15 mph back to Miami. From my understanding, this won't be a quick fix. My guess is that the 3/5 sailing will only include ports close to Miami, maybe key west or Bahamas. They have only offered $100 pp shipboard credit (which is just the refunded port fees for two missed ports), and 25% discount off next cruise. Many guests are very upset and senior staff will be meeting with us again this afternoon to let us know what carnival admin will do further to compensate.

Grand cayman is fantastic for snorkeling. We were disappointed with the beach snorkeling in Roatan. The reef was mostly dead there. My husband did take a fantastic dive excursion tin Roatan , however.

Is there anywhere to rent snorkel gear for the day? We love to snorkel, but don't want to take a pricey excursion.
