I was once in line behind a family with school age kids at the end of a cruise and they were settling their on board account. It was over $6,000. The father nearly passed out. That's where the "oh that sounds like fun" attitude will get you. The photos, specialty restaurants, BINGO games, drinks, excursions, really add up. You're already paying plenty for the onboard experience. Set a budget for extras and stick to it. You will be glad you did and you will still have a fabulous time with no post cruise financial hangover. Bon voyage!

The RCI website is the WORST. These horrible videos with a mirror image which show you nothing and just give you a headache. Navigation is a real pain. The excursions information is kind of vague and the choices don't seem as numerous as they used to be. So little information on everything. I don't understand why they don't improve this. If I had never cruised on them before, I wouldn't want to.

It's just one of those situations where "I'm sorry" just doesn't cut it. I haven't seen my friend in years but that story still cracks me up.

Here's a story...My friend was a waiter at a diner near an arena and while Ringing Bros. was in town, some of the entertainers ate there. One morning a couple walked in in matching baby blue three-piece suits with string ties. Without thinking, my friend greeted them with, "Are y'all with the circus?"
--They weren't!!

Bringing Wine on board

Cunard used to let you bring as much as you liked. We brought 8 bottles onboard about 7 years ago with no problem. It is stricter now from what I hear.
