My sister and I just discovered the ship changes "by accident" today when we were getting the "Uh-Oh" message on the website yesterday and today when we were trying to check prices and seeing if airfare was available for June '18 yet.! We called our NCL planner and she is working on getting our cabins corrected since we had one on each side of the ship. We just got "the official" email from NCL about an hour ago!

Anyone going on the land and sea tour 6/14-6/25/18? (Cruise departs Seward 6/18 and gets to Vancouver 6/25)

As a non-drinker who travels with my sister, who can put away some beers, I find it discriminatory that all adults in the cabin have to purchase the CHEERS package. (Especially as controlled as it is with the scanning of the ship and sail card every time and having your picture come up on screen!) She thought about buying it for both of us...not that she would get to 30 beers a day, but it was a thought! We'll see what her tab comes out to at the end of our 8 day cruise at $5.95 a beer (plus the 15%!) Now if I did still drink...Bailey's in my coffee; mimosas and screwdrivers with brunch; frozen drinks at the pool; cocktails before and after dinner and wine with dinner, it would be a no brainer!!!

We sail on the 8 night departing 1/13. If they aren't posted before we leave, I will post upon return :)

We booked Sunset Beach through Resortforaday .com and had a great time! There are several resorts to choose from. Considering doing it again next month!

We had an awesome time this past January and are booking with them again in January!

We booked a Beach Lunch/Stingray & snorkel tour through Captain Marvin's that included an awesome lunch on a private beach for $75pp. It was like a private tour...only about 14 plus the crew on our double decker boat. (Some of the boats that pulled up to SC looked like clowns getting out of VW's they were so packed!) I am going again next month and am booking the same excursion!

Glad I found your review! I went on this same cruise 1/26/14 w/ my sister (from Ohio) and we had a BLAST!!! My DH & I are going on the same cruise, same week 1/25/15, it will be his 1st (civilian!) cruise!

That's ridiculous, especially since you were trying to pay for it and not get a drink for someone else on your Cheers plan! I think their policy of everyone in the cabin (of age) having to purchase one is ridiculous too! My sister & I went on our first Carnival cruise this year and she's a drinker and I'm not and she had to pay by the drink. (might have been cheaper for her to buy 1 for both of us and use mine!!!) Celebrity allows individual drink packages no matter how many are in the cabin.

We have a friend who was on the Triumph for her 1st ever cruise (and she went with doubts but agreed on the 5-dayer w/ her DH and had their 2 kids staying with 2 different friends!) Of course it was a terrible experience for everyone but she said it was blown totally out of proportion and the crew & staff went above & beyond 24/7 and were beyond amazing! We haven't asked her if/when she's using her "free one"!!! I won't lie, we were scheduled to cruise soon after that on a different cruise line (with an elderly parent w/ several special needs) but we were still apprehensive an couldn't help to wonder "what if" that happened to us w/ a family member w/ a scooter & oxygen?! Personally, I feel like all the ships got much safer after that incident and it's not going to rain on my parade for future cruises!

My sister & I are 1st time Carnival cruisers and she's a drinker & I'm not (I'm the "DD" (Designated Diver") she was very disappointed to learn that the CHEERS package must be purchased by all cabin guests...that's ridiculous! (They track the consumption and would know if they were being shared!) We're looking forward to a fun winter getaway...just glad I won't have a bar tab at the end of the cruise!!!
