I can not find the thread that I read this on... Can someone confirm if our card will have international charges?
We sail out of Miami, to Ocean Cay and then Nassau.
I read that all onboard cc charges will go through France, but can't find that confirmation for the bank.

First MSC cruise in a couple weeks. (Divina) Are we allowed to bring drinking water on board, or can we pre-order to be delivered to the cabin?
What about wine or sodas, can we bring any with us?

This was the saving grace for me on the last cruise. I usually never carried my phone, but with the Hub App and staying in contact with my daughter & husband, I found I used this one over the other 3 styles of lanyards I brought. I clipped a pretty lanyard chain on it. I got this through Wish.com really cheap.

Thank you Gerry with ToursPlaza! He was our first driver 7 or 8 years ago and we were blessed with him again this week. He's awesome!

Does anyone know the inside dimensions of the cabin safes? We would like to put all of our prescriptions in there, but may need to condense some bottles.
Also is it ok to not have the original prescription bottles? (no flights)
THANKS!!!

It is my understanding that leaving passengers behind is not done without consideration. Paging of passengers that have not been recorded coming aboard is performed. With no response the cabins are checked.
If it is determined that the people are not aboard the crew will go to the cabins and check the safe for passports. If they are present they will be left at the dock with the cruiseline agent (usually listed on the daily).
That helps! Thanks! I was wondering how we would get the pp if a medical emergency occurred. I had heard not to take them ashore.

We'll be sailing th Carnival Vista on Christmas eve (with a Santa believing family & 6yr old) . For those that have cruised at Christmas, what are some of the things Carnival has done to add to the holiday festivities...what's something you've done to celebrate on board?

We are actually booked for the steakhouse on the first night (Christmas Eve). Thanks for the reminder to put something nice to wear in my carry on this time.

Is it approved to have a box packed for Carnival? We are actually combining our Port Excursion with a Mission trip and taking a box of children's bibles and toys. Would rather not have another suitcase to haul back. Thanks!

We will be cruising the Carnival Vista over Christmas. We are considering doing the steakhouse one night (possibly the 1st night) I see the MDR is offering my fave strawberry bisque. Would I be able to request it in the steakhouse? Also hubby is asking if he can request more than one lobster tail in the steakhouse as we can in the mdr?
Thanks!

We will be cruising 12/24. This will be our first holiday on the seas. We have a 6yr old, so we've already explained Santa will find us there too. Does Carnival do anything special for Christmas?

We had hired Gerry as a driver for a day many years ago. From the threads, I'm seeing he is now with Tours Plaza, is this correct? I was looking into having a driver for a day through Plaza tours, but would like the cheapest (ie 3 hours). Would that be enough time to go to the San Gervasio Ruins, El Mirador, and also squeeze in a good margaritta. Do you think I'll need to factor in more time?
Thanks!

Can you set up prepaid gratuities with DCL? Is it done through the TA or the website?
Thank you!!!

We've been to Nassau quite a few times. We've never taken excursions, because I'm the first to admit I'm cheap...I mean frugal. Do a google search for a walking tour, we walked to the queen's staircase and had the map to help with a "tour". We've also taken a horse & buggy ride for a tour. Last year we took the #10 Jitney to the fish camp for the best conch salad EVER, and of course there's always the straw market and downtown shops. We're heading back in Sept, & we're heading back to the fish camp. ScubaGirl is always very helpful!

Leaving tomorrow on Divina. I realize there isn't any free wifi, and I think there isn't an on board app?
Without purchasing internet, is there anyway to text between passengers. Would like to be able to send my hubby for my drink, or track down my tween. Lol
If anyone has any questions, I'll answer on Friday or Saturday (12/23, 24)
Thanks
