Booked Grand Norwegian Explorer, August 2022, 26 nights, round trip from NYC. It took my TA many hours but he came through with exactly what I asked for. This will be our first cruise with Cunard and I am very excited.

We did this last year on the Breakaway. We moved from the accessible Courtyard Penthouse to the Haven 2 Bedroom Family Villa. Mom used a walker inside the cabin as you will find that there is no "turn around" space for scooter or wheelchair.

Yes, we upsold from a Courtyard Penthouse to a 2 Bedroom Villa on the BA last February. That was before the bidding program began.

Just booked an accessible B4, Family Balcony cabin, on the Breakaway, #12286. Does anyone have pictures or information about this cabin? There is one video on YouTube but it's difficult to see the entire layout. Thanks[emoji41]

I know you asked about Escape but I can't imagine that they are different than any other Haven. The Breakaway pillow tag reads 70% down feather 30% flame retardant polyester. These were the pillows that came with the room as I didn't order any others from the menu. I loved these pillows[emoji41]

There is a service elevator. If stairs are a problem, stop at the concierge desk and they will have you escorted to the upper sun deck. FYI, we shared a 2 bedroom with my mother, 98 years old, and it was great. Although reservations for the Haven restaurant are not necessary, they can be made. Have a great trip.

It may have been your butler. I was in a haven spa suite on 14th floor and found the butler to be very accommodating I cannot say this enough times on the care Gian took of my mother. I am still so sentimental about his.

We love Gian for the same reason [emoji5] He treated my mother like a queen and added so much to her enjoyment of the cruise.

bobg529, I didn't realize that if you upsell to a Haven Spa Suite the spa pass is not included. I knew there were no extra promos but thought the spa pass was part of the Spa Suite. Good to know for the future.

Liquor and soda are for Owners Suites. You're going to love your time in the Haven. Your butler will deliver afternoon snacks so be sure to let him know what you like. Have fun[emoji41]

True, there is no Haven on the Dawn but the suite perks are still wonderful. You will have your butler and concierge, priority embarkation and disembarkation, and because there is no Haven restaurant you will have breakfast and lunch in Cagneys. Besides the penthouses and 2 bedroom suites there are also the family suites on deck 12 and the Owner's and Deluxe Owner's suites. We love the suite life on the Dawn.

Not sure what type of penthouse you mean but, if it's a Courtyard Penthouse, I would prefer it to the Haven Spa. We like the proximity to the courtyard, sun deck, bar ,and restaurant. I'm sure you'll enjoy either[emoji41]

Don't know how to help you get him there but once there it will sell itself. My DH loves the convenience of the Haven bar and restaurant. Good luck, that's a great price[emoji41]

Came upon your post while searching for the same information. I noticed the size difference as well and also that it is a cabin for 2 occupants. Hopefully someone who knows will post an answer.

If you are staying in the Breakaway Haven the concierge will have someone escort you, by elevator, to the Haven sun deck. My mom uses a wheelchair and this is what we experienced this past February.

Have a wonderful time. We sailed in the Haven 2 bedroom this past February and loved it.

He would also have to pass through your bedroom, or your sister's, for access to a bathroom.

Loving your review and admiring your strength. We are on the BA this month in a 2 bedroom like yours. It's hard to tell, from the pictures, how big that sofa bed (bottom bunk) really is. It looks like a twin bed. We've been in 2 bedroom suites on the Dawn & Gem and as I recall those sofa beds were the size of a smallish double bed. Can you clarify please? A little over 2 weeks to go for our first BA cruise and your review is tremendously helpful.

We are leaving on the Breakaway in 34 days...should we be calling someone about an upsell or do they contact us? What is the upsell number?

I called today for 2/21/16 Breakaway. She told me nothing yet & probably not until 2 weeks before.

No experience yet, however I was asking myself this same question and finally decided to book deck 8 for our 8/16 cruise. All in all I think we'll like being closer to the bars, casinos and dining venues. Good luck with your decision[emoji41]
