  1. We will be disappointed if our Pride 4123 doors are screwed shut. I've had those 4k's twice now and really like the light and opening the doors even if for a little while to let some fresh air in, it seems strange that two recent sailings on the Pride that someone noted their doors opened and another did not. We sail in about a month.

Please let us know when you return the status of your doors - as in 6 months we are in 4139 on the Pride

  2. I wish the cabanas were located closer to the water, or maybe even some of those over the water ones. Although I can only imagine the maintenance that those require. Still seems to me like paying $200+ to be so far from the water is just not ideal. I actually considered renting a cabana for this cruise, but once I realized that they were located so far away from the water I decided not to.

I told mom to wait there, I could see that she was already worn out and it seemed like a good resting spot for her. I kept on walking a little further.

Here is a very nice little beach with much less crowds. The only thing to consider is the longer walk there.

Gambee, I notice that the Carnival Ship in the background - were they on the island as well?

  3. VERY easy to drive yourself on St. Maarten. You can rent a car right at the pier from Coastal Car Rental. They have nice vehicles, inexpensive - they are friendly, and have GPS for $5. They have all the sights preprogrammed - makes driving yourself easy. Marigot is worth a visit - climb to the top of Fort St. Louis, then head to Maho to watch some planes, finish the day at Orient of Le Gallion Beach. This is a great day at very little expense.

How much was the rental of the car

  4. Here is the thing, my mom went to a bar and she was told about it. Then she got 2 drinks for one coupon. She was told that the information would be in dailies, I never looked for it. I also noticed someone saying they are nowhere. I am sorry that I cannot comment more on this, that is pretty much all I know. I am not even sure which bar it was at, I will ask her and let you know.

Thank you, I would appreciate that. I love a good bargin :)

  5. Sharon - why arent you in our roll call? Is it too boring for you? Lol

Trish, I did end up calling MSC about the sale, but its for new bookings only :( I'll be keeping an eye out though! Wish I would have waited, could have had a balcony for only $60pp more! wa wa waaa - They said to upgrade would have been triple our current rate, no thanks!

    I am :)

  6. We had an gty inside booked but took advantage of the 4th of July sale to upgrade. For about $200 total we upgraded to a gty balcony and was assigned 10218, one of the largest balconies on the Divina. I figured if I got on board and was stuck in a lousy inside (not ALL insides are lousy, mind you!) I would be kicking myself for not spending the $200 more to get a balcony.

There is a 3-day balcony sale on right now but I don't know if your sail date is included. I recommend you keep an eye on the website for a sale or call and see what it would cost you to upgrade to a gty balcony. It might be cheaper than you think.

Hoping you have a fantastic cruise no matter where you lay your head at night! :)

    Trish

When are you cruising, we have that cabin on sept. 27th
