  1. Hi Dennis, I heard of other people posting that their subscription was not working. I noticed in one of the emails I received that it was going to an old email address that I use occasionally even though I put in my current email address. So I did a little detective work and went to UserCP at the top and then edit email address and found that their it had my old email address. I changed it and then got an email that I had to click on the link to confirm the change. I hope this helps you or anyone else not getting the subscription.

See you in a little over a month! ;)

I was not able to subscribe so I am posting a reply in hopes that this will subscribe me.

  2. We grately appreciated your amazing contribution of pictures and information that helped to make this thread more exciting! We wish you well on you next journey! Seing her leave was probably like watching your child moving out on their own. Thank you!

Yesterday I posted my thoughts about Quantum of the Seas in the Facebook group. I want to share them with you, too:

Today, when the ship will be given to RCI, a two year journey ends for me. The building of Quantum of the Seas was the closest I've followed and that I was involved in so far at Meyer Werft. You (hopefully) enjoyed my photos and I made new friends, I met Richard Fain and future crew members...there was a legendary night in a pub in Papenburg...and when she left the ship yard, I cried a little bit. All these memories and experiences I made because of Quantum of the Seas have changed my life. And now, as Quantum sets her sails, I hope you will be as thrilled by her as I am.

And thank you Lloyd for introducing me to CC!

  3. Laura, Our condolences on the passing of your mother. Losing a parent is very hard, we know, both are parents have passed. Glad you have this to help you through the sad times!

I want to thank everyone who has contributed to all the information and pictures that make this thread so exciting! We appreciate all of you! :)

    And, Keep it coming! ;)

That is an amazing picture and looks like a great place to stand.

And yes, thank you Lloyd, I am more than grateful for your pictures and keeping us updated these past months. I look forward every day, to more of your posts and pictures.

I am so looking forward to quantum. Been through a tough few months, my mom has been very sick and passed away three weeks ago, and this ship, this quantum trip and the pictures and updates have given me something positive to hang on to.

Thanks again to Lloyd, my roll call friends and all here.

  4. Thanks to all for your postings! We have been watching the progress from the webcam and find it exciting! Just wanted to know what to expect of the finish product!

Lloyd posted the correct new renderings. The aerial version posted by hitaway4 is no longer the plan. There have been significant revisions.

Here is the current webcam, showing the terminal progress. It looks very different than the earlier version:

  5. Is there some place one can go to see what the finished project is going to look like?

Looks like a lot of paving and grading taking place today. There were also apparently wrapped pieces of interior furnishing or equipment visible inside the terminal, through the large overhead door, as of this morning. The large rectangle that is not paved in the webcam shot will probably be a planting area as indicated in some of the renderings I have seen. Progress.

  6. Since I was looking at some cabins on the UK site which is a pain in the butt  I decided to share some of the percentages I found here. I wish RCCL would put out a list or they had let us know from the beginning that the percentages were going to be so high!. I guess we will live with a DO cabin since it would be a small fortune to upgrade to the next level.

Obstructed View Balcony Cabins on Quantum Of The Seas

    6162 - 75%

    6164 - 50%

    6182 – 50%

    6184 – 75% Connected Cabin

    6186 – 50% Connected Cabin

  7. Thank you!

Those things you can hear if a cabin is above you, too! I'm sure maybe a little louder since there's no carpeting on the floor there. I wasn't sure if we were going to be wakened in the morning by it.

I didn't find it to be bad, although you could occasionally hear a chair being drug or child running around. It wasn't obtrusive, very muffled. I'm usually up pretty late, so the WJ is always empty when I'm going to bed.
