  1. I was told that any drink up to $11 is included, and that if a drink is over $11, you get an $11 discount. So a $13 drink would cost you $2.

What I am wondering is, with all these free beverage packages, are they going to intentionally understaff the bars to make it take longer to get a drink?

I never waited more then 1 minute to get a drink, whatever bar I was at.
  2. Just got back from my long awaited Sun Alaska Cruise tour. (Well a couple of days ago) Great trip, with a few disappointment. Alaska is beautiful.

DH and I spent 3 days in Vancouver post cruise at the Greenbrier Hotel. This is an older hotel with suites. No bells or whistles, however it was comfortable and downtown on Robson St. Vancouver is really clean. We walked all over Vancouver, visited Stanley Park and Grandville Island. I had a little sticker shock, at one restaurant the cost for lunch was $28.00 for an ok piece of Salmon.

It's time for me to get to work, I'll post more later. :)

was your cruisetour person Alise and driver fighter? We had them in 6/15 and they were great
  3. on the cruise 6/1/15. we stayed at the Sheraton anchorage. Denali resort in Denali Alaska and the Alyeska resort in Alyeska Alaska. The first hotel in 4 star. The third hotel in 5+ star and the second Denali was less then a 1 star.

  4. I am going to be on a land cruise for 7 days and then on the ship for 7 more days. I like to gamble so here is my problem. Do I have to carry xxxxx amount of cash around for 14 days or is there a way to use my onboard account or debit, or credit card without paying fees.

  5. Myself, wife and daughter are cruising together. I understand we get 2 UBP which is for alcohol and 1 for soda. Does it matter which 2 people receive the alcohol package. We are all adults over 22.

  6. No you do NOT pay a cash advance fee to the credit card company as you are not taking a cash advance from them

It all is a charge to your NCL inboard account

The credit card company has no idea what you purchased or charged on board. You are not taking an advance from the credit card company, you are incurring an on board charge.

We have done this on our past 3 NCL cruises .

I just called Bank Of America, my cc company. They said this is considered a cash advance.

  7. No, all onboard charges are charged as one purchase (no separate cash advances) at the end of the cruise. (Of course they will pre-authorize and update that pre-authorization done to your card as the onboard account is used to make sure it has funds but other thn that no worries.)

So I pay a 3% convenience fee. Since the charge is considered a purchase, I get back double points as my card is a NCL card and the purchase is NCL related.

  8. Do you need to bring cash if you want to play in the casino. Can you take money out of your room account or charge it to your room account. I am just looking to not have to bring xxxx amount of cash with me. Also is there any type of service charges associated with taking cash.

  9. I booked my land cruise package on 3/21/14 for the package on 5/28/15. Checking today, the same package increased by over $1200. Just proves it pays to book early.
