  1. Hi RSF Cruiser. I don't know what part of the website you got the size of the suites at the back of Lido deck. I just came from princess.com and they have the two Penthouse suites, L721 and L722 as 509-512 sq. ft. and the three Vista suites as 470 sq. ft. I'm pretty sure these numbers are closer to the actual size.

There is a very interesting thread going with lots of information and photos of the remodeled Island Princess; one of the contributors, dmwnc1959, has provided some great photos. You can see that the three Vista suites appear to be the same size, or at least the same width. The aft portion of the Penthouse suites appear to also be the same width, but of course are much deeper than the Vista Suites.

I hope this helps a little.

We just occupied L721 and the 700+ sq.ft. is correct when all baths and walk in closet is considered, plus the 2 balconies. NO noise from the teen center EXCEPT the teens coming and going. Hope this helps.

  2. Where are you staying in Venice? trying to finalize our hotel plans for our Sept. cruise. Thank you!

We found Pesaro Palace, a small (11 rooms) boutique hotel right at the Ca' d Oro water taxi stop. It was $153.00 when we booked, including breakfast.

  3. I had two cabins midship C421/C423 and barely felt any vibration in either cabin. My wife is very sensitive to motion, and therefore we don't take any chances on aft or forward cabins. She indicated that she was least impacted on this cruise compared to others.

We were also on the balconies of L721 for Venice sailaway (thank you Don!) and we could barely feel any vibration for the journey out of the Guiddecca canal (albeit I'm reasonably sure we weren't full thrust).

We are on the sailing 8/14. We are spending one night after the cruise in Venice. Is there any information on how to disembark and get to your hotel. Our hotel is on the Grand Canal

    Thank you,

    Claudia.

  4. Does anyone know if the Aft-facing suites on the Lido Deck on the Island have covered balconies? We're looking at a Panama Canal cruise, and these are the only Aft-facing available. If they don't have covers, i think I'll opt for the regular suites near the aft elevators, those are nice, too. I think PC will be way to hot for a balcony with no cover. Seems like it would make the cabin hot, too.

I hope they do!!!! I am in L721 on the August 14 cruise.

  5. Can anyone tell me what deck(s) have covered balconies partial or full on the Island. We are looking at caribe deck 609. Thank you very much.

Usually the Caribe deck has larger balconies thus not completely covered. Go up to Baha or Alola and they will be covered.....I think!
