Can anyone provide information on the new local ferry terminal opened recently adjacent to the cruise terminal.
Seems a convenient way to travel around with the route going from Kwan Tong to North Point via Kai Tak.
Once travellers reached North Point, looks like you could then travel on to other ferry terminals.

Hi,
Help please. Just received a call from Celebrity offering us a complimentary upgrade to Aqua class for our South Pacific cruise on Solstice leaving 20th March this year.
Sounds really good however would like input as to the position of the cabin- currently we have allocated cabin no. 7219(on the hump) and have now been offered cabin(forward) up on deck 11, no 1546.
We like the position on deck 7 - low down ,midships, however would like other cruisers opinions on accepting the upgrade. We have been on five cruises before and have never been offered an upgrade.
How much difference would there be in the ships movement from deck 7 to deck 11.
Also would appreciate any comments on the Blu restaurant.
Thanks.

Due to pay balance of payment for March '16 Solstice cruise to South Pacific.
Trying to avoid the 3% credit card fee which amounts to $A150-.
Appears you can pay the amount to RCL's JP Morgan Chase Bank-Sydney branch via the National Bank here in Aus then email the deposit receipt to RCL.
Can any one advise if the have used this method to finalise their payment?
Seems a bit more involved but would worth it to save the fee - more money to spend on board!
thanks.

Leaving on the Solstice this Saturday from Auckland.
Can anyone advise when and how we could drop off our luggage at the terminal then head of to look around Auckland, returning to go on board around 2.00 p.m. or so.
I understand some cruise lines have the facility to drop off your bags well before you have to board.
Thanks

Need some help!
We have booked cabin 6211 on Solstice in November -Auckland to Sydney, and are now concerned that the view from our balcony may have the view partially obstructed by a lifeboat. Considering that this cabin is classed as "1A" would hope this was not the case. The TA was very keen for us to take this cabin.
Would appreciate anyone's comments regarding the suitability of this cabin and if the view from the balcony is obstructed.
This will be our first trip on any of the Celebrity ships.
Thanks

Ok , now appears that these boarding times are only recommendations from Celebrity and one can assume that you are able to board at any time from 11.30 a.m. onwards. Would hate to arrive at the terminal at 12.30 and then be asked not to board until 4.00pm.
Probably worrying about nothing.

Hi, on the Celebrity website under the Plan and Book section- Staggered Check-in Time, decks 6 and 3 are the last ones listed to board at 4.00pm.
Departures only are listed up until 11th of April 2014 however the same trip last year in November was the same times.
Wondered if any one else had to wait until this time to board if their cabin was on the lowest deck.

We have booked on Solstice cruise leaving Auckland on the 15th of November, 12 days ending in Sydney.
We have booked cabin on deck 6, cabin 6211, and it appears that we cannot board until 4.00 p.m.
Can anyone confirm this or would we be able to board earlier?
thanks

Leaving early March on the Constellation from Singapore on round trip via Vietnam,Hong Kong,Manilla, Boracay Island and Kota Kinabalu.
Queried with T/A here in Adelaide(South Aust) if should have any injections prior to travelling. She advised us to contact local Travel Dr to discuss.
Called them and was preliminary discussion that there were no direct requirements for them however we should consider having injections for typhoid and hepatitis A. A Friend recently spent 2 weeks in Vietnam and had shots for Typhoid and Hep C.
I understand that having preventative inoculations can be a personal choice but I would appreciate any comments from fellow cruisers.
Did call Celebrity here in Aus however they were not very helpful.
