To my knowledge the only port that offers Luggage Valet is Seattle and that is provided by the Port.

The company that once offered it went out of business and Celebrity hasn't contracted with anyone to provide.

If that’s the case too bad… it was a nice service to have.  Seattle offers all cruise ships luggage valet.

  2. We have a b2b on the Silhouette. First one ever, (newly retired teacher) and was looking forward to the ease of the end of the first leg. This has all changed because the second leg is now going out of Miami. So basically we come back into Fort Lauderdale, they move our luggage to our new cabin, we have to get off the ship, and take a shore excursion that will then drop us at the Port of Miami..to check in for next leg! After an initial phone call with Customer Service, I called Captains Club and spoke with an absolutely lovely person. I explained the whole situation, I never asked for anything other than better communication from Celebrity, and received some very fair compensation for this hassle. About an hour later I received a call from Celebrity with some updated information. By the end of the second call I felt like they really cared and appreciated greatly the update. This will be Cruises 39/40 overall and why I keep coming back to Celebrity!

  3. Thanks! It will be in Miami, and that’s great news if we don’t even have to get off the ship, and if we can put valuables away at least... We would go hide in Solarium till Suite is ready!:D

You will be invited to a back to back meeting to explain how things will work and you will get a letter in the cabin the night before the first cruise ends. The port of debarkation/embarkation determines what the overall process is. We didn’t have to leave the ship for either of our back to backs. Part of your packet will be an “in transit” card. If you get off the ship to play tourist, when you return and reboard you use the transit card to skip the lines. You can’t reboard until general boarding starts.

Your cabin attendant will move you. He/she will take things on hangars and your bags. Everything loose needs to be in bags. We have always been able to move first thing and put our valuables in the safe. One time we had full access to the room. The last time, we got into the safe first thing, had to leave and got back in the rooms when all were ready. Al Bacio was open all morning and “served” the B2Bers.

  4. Hello,

We booked a b2b on Silhouette. This will be my 39th and 40 th cruise, but first time ever doing b2b.. ( retired as of last June). We were unable to get the same Sky Suite on both sailings, but the cabins are fairly close... Can someone who has done this and had to move tell me how it works? Thanks!:)

  5. Here is the reality to people who are talking about jumping ship... either other lines do the same thing, or they will follow suit! I don't care if every meal is free on certain other lines, my toes will never touch their decks! I like the grill not because the food was great, but because of the convience of not having to worry about being in a bathingsuit.. I agree that the news release suggests it will be an upcharge.. but perhaps it will be an option and the other non "gourmet" food will be available. I would wait till we hear what is really happening before I start making "threats."

  6. Don't know about Jesus. We had Rodney who was excellent.

We've only cruised on Silhouette once, in 2012, but are very much looking forward to returning in Nov for 12 nights.

Do you know if Jesus is still a Sky Suite butler? He was fabulous and hope we get him again!

    Who is the cruise director?

    Thanks for your upbeat post!:)

  7. 36th and 34th cruises were on Silhouette. I can not even begin to explain how much I love this ship, except to say cruise 39 and 40 will be back with her! I could talk about the seamless embarkation, wonderful butler in Sky Suite, immaculate cabin, great shows, exceptional staff, food in Luminae breathtaking ,:D but you have heard that all before! This last sentence sums it up, and anyone who hated that feeling of as soon as the cruise was over.. no one really cared, it was an abrupt jolt back into reality. The cruise director was standing in the line on the way to baggage, hugging, thanking, and exuding a warmth unlike any other! This seemingly small gesture best describes why I love this ship!

  8. So excited! Sailing on her for the 2nd time in 2 weeks! 35 cruises and this one was easily my favorite! We took the same sky suite on the pool deck. I loved being able to go back to my cabin for whatever I needed, and loved the location of the cabin! I did the Anthem in between and much prefer this one! Sunshine here we come!

  9. Hi,

Sorry I took a car service so can't answer that question!

Good morning Rhonda. I meant to ask you.....I know they raised the price for parking in Bayonne. Can you confirm how much it is per day? I think I read somewhere it is $20per day. Trying to decide whether to take a limo or drive. Thank you !!!
  10. I brought my own.. They did throw them to the crowd and maybe 20 people caught them! They sold them for $5.00 plus..

I read on another review you did not need to buy glowing accessories and that they threw to crowd. Is that not true?
