If you are first time RCI,  then you want to make sure you go to the 'Love and Marriage'   dating game...and THE QUEST.    Those two are a must see.   If you have any show scheduled during that time,  skip it.   And you will want to get there early.

Booked in advance, the island hotels aren't too bad, we were late for our upcoming cruise and am booked by Nasa at the Marriott for $80. Its a 20 min drive. From Hobby, Galveston is less than 30 minutes. Add 45 min most days to Bush.

We stayed in Cocoa the night before on the beach next to the pier and loved it. There isn't much else to do in Cocoa but we managed dinner on the pier, some beach time, and a couple rounds of putt putt golf. Plenty of activity.

From the hotel, the boat is just a few miles down the road.

Car rental drop off was near the boat and they have a shuttle to get you there.

We were onboard just after 1030 for our RCI cruise.
