  1. Just thought I would add that the bathroom and changing area was very nice and clean. And there was an area outside to shower off. If you have kids you will want to shower them, I saw several that were coated in sand after playing. The beach is a very fine sand.

  2. You can just show up anytime. People were still arriving when we left around 1pm. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas and a nice patio/bar area you can sit at.

I did not really pay attention to the cabanas. They were empty when we got there. Not sure if people used them.

  3. I saw people with their own snorkel gear. The beach was really sandy so I don’t know how good snorkeling would be.

There was a business on the beach where you could buy activities, they had a boat with a sign that said snorkeling tours. I saw the boat leave and come back. I did not go check out the sign the business had with activities and prices.

  4. We just returned from a day at Royal Palms. The day time was not a large party scene. There were lots of families and I saw many kids playing in the sand.

Chairs were $12 each and umbrellas $15. $2 each to get in. This is all USD and they do give change back in USD. Or they take credit cards.

There were servers who would bring food and drinks. The food is expensive, the price is in Cayman Islands dollars and they convert at 1.25. But what we order was very good.

  5. Hi all! I am sailing on the Dream in January and am trying to decide on what to get done at the spa.

I'm looking at the ELEMIS Intensely Cleansing Salt Scrub with 25/50 minute massage.

I haven't found any reviews on it though. It would be great if someone who has had it let me know how their experience was!

  6. On one of our Behind the Fun tours, the officer in charge of stores told us they always carry enough food for 3-4 days beyond the expected length of the cruise just for situations like this. Some items may run low or indeed run out but there should always be edibles for several days past the expected end of the itinerary. Or so we were told..... ;)

I was on the Freedom 1 month ago and was told/heard more than once from staff that they always have 2 weeks of food supplies on board. If the ship isn't even due in until tomorrow normally I find it hard to believe they are running out of food. Weird

  7. We visited on our stop in Key West. Easy 5 minute walk from the ship. They have a wide selection of styles and colors available and you try on the size you need. You see the workers in the back making sandals. My daughter bout 2 pair for $38.

  8. I have sailed from there 3 times. I always park at port parking because it is so easy. Never had a line. Pulled up, paid. Stop where the porters are. Be sure to have your carry on separate from other bags. Then they tell you go to floor X or X. Find and spot and done. Take elevator to terminal. Remember where you parked!

It's so nice to get off the ship and walk right to my car and drive off.

  9. Going to go to the Chef's Table on the Freedom. Does anyone know where they set up the tables, in the galley or in a different room?

I've eaten at the Chef's Table on other ships and eaten in galley and another area.

Anyone been lately to the Chef's Table on the Freedom? Is it the old menu or new?
