  1. if I can't take anything with a heating element I can't take my hair straighteners either....

And I ask why they put kettles in the cabins on cruises out of the UK if they consider they are such a hazard

First, let me start by saying that I am all for safety. I am not looking to put anyone in danger, including myself.

That being said, Celebrity's inconsistent policy is quite confusing. I definitely understand the ban against irons. Allowing an appliance onboard that passengers use to apply heat to fabric is definitely a hazard. However, to ban handheld steamers and yet, allow curling irons and other beauty products that use "heat" makes no sense. It's makes even less sense when Celebrity actually places tea kettles in the staterooms on their European itinerary.

  2. Help, have read lots on this thread, and now have a headache!

Off on Eclipse in May, can anybody help with a couple of queries, really can't face looking through 673 replies LOL.

We are thinking of buying a 'Classic Non-Alcoholic Package' , if we do can you get 'latte' coffee from Café Al Bacio in the cardboard cups with lids and take them to your stateroom?

And does the package include includes non-alcoholic beverages, i.e. Strawberry Banana Soda, Peach Sangria and similar. The website is a bit sparse as to what you can actually have on the deal!

I would love to know this information as well. What the heck is the difference between the specialty coffees and the premium coffees? Some posts have suggested that the diffence is alcohol - stating the premium coffees have alcohol in them. However, there are several posts that contradict this. I would love to hear from anyone who bought the classic package and got different types of coffees - were you able to get cappuccinos, lattees, etc, with the classic package or were you limited to a plain espresso?
