  1. I'm sorry if this was answered in a previous post...there are so many pages :)

I would like to sail the pride in June of 2016...is it rough waters or a lot of rocking until you get to the Caribbean? I know the atlantic can be rough, but with such a big ship, didn't know if this was a problem.

  2. Laundry on the first day shouldn't be busy at all....every time I went by the one on the 9th floor there was availability. I did mine on a port day so it definitely wasn't busy

  3. We had a laundry room on the 9th floor near the front....it was paid for by quarters only which can be obtained at guest services. All soaps are $1 each and wash/dry cycles are $3 each. I don't know where the other laundry rooms are.

  4. Thank you so much for these very speedy responses and I am pleased to learn that formal dress is not required.

    Thanks everyone

You will find different levels of elegant/formal on those nights. Some dress to the 9's in tuxes and gowns, some just dresses/ suit and tie...if you are not dressed in elegant/formal though, you will not be allowed in the main dining rooms on those nights.

  5. I've booked a 4 day cruise to surprise my husband for our fifth wedding anniversary. I'd love to hear some creative ways to let him know. I'll be telling him on our anniversary - which is Four days before we leave. I'm arranging work off for him and everything. I just need a really fun way to let him know. TIA

Sounds like what I did! I told him I got him something for anniversary, but he wasn't allowed to check the bank account or else he would know what it was...He complied and I called his boss and arranged for him to be off work. then I packed his bag for him the day before the cruise, hid it in the closet and woke him up at 3:30 am and told him to get dressed, we were headed for the airport...he was quite confused but went with the flow. He figured it out once he saw the tickets to Miami.

He said it was the best vacation he ever had and was even better because he didn't have to plan anything!

  6. We were on the Pride last fall with our 10 year old. He really liked Camp, but didn't stay there constantly. He'd check out what was going on and go to what he liked. We were on in Sept. so there weren't many kids. He had wanted to do the late night party, but no other kids signed up so it was canceled. We let him check himself in and out, but we were able to keep in touch because we had a ship cell phone for our 2 year old (who spent 20 minutes at camp and would not ever enter the room again...).

I have the activity schedule that I can scan if anyone wants it--not sure if there are more recent ones floating around though.

I'm curious too, we are sailing the glory in May. Out of curiosity, do you know why your 2 year old wouldn't go back? Was it just because it was unfamiliar territory? We are taking our 3 year old and 9 year old. Our 3 year old goes to daycare part time so I wonder if he might be ok or get freaked out since it will be unfamiliar faces.

Also, what is the policy on changing diapers? Our 3 year old is "trying" to potty train, but hasn't gotten there yet...when he's busy, he doesn't even think about it.
