Shoppers Drug Mart offers the Abbott Panbio rapid antigen test that I hoping to arrange within the 2 days prior to my Royal Caribbean cruise sailing on Dec 27th (yes it means I would have to go Dec 25th).

The Royal Caribbean website mentions they accept the results of :

    • Any Abbott brand test administered on site by a pharmacy technician or other health professional is accepted. This includes the common Abbot ID NOW test administered by many pharmacies. The test provider must provide you with a proper results document (no handwritten notes).

I realize it makes sense to assume that, because it is an Abbott test, and it will be administered by at the pharmacy, it is a no-brainer it will be accepted by Royal. However my nightmare is to fly down there while making this assumption only to have a small technicality render that specific test to be ineligible in the eyes of Royal.  Have sent many messages to RC without receiving a reply.

For anyone who has done a pharmacy-administered rapid antigen test at Shoppers or other pharmacies that administer the Abbot Panbio rapid antigen test : did RC accept it to let you on board?

    Thanks in advance

Apparently they will not accept an antigen test which is not monitored and Shoppers home test is not monitored. On another note, I ordered the Abbot antigen test from Celebrity to be delivered to my hotel. At first they wouldn't accept my order because the hotel's zip code did not match the postal code attached to my credit card. I then changed my credit card postal code to all the 3 numbers in my postal code and added 2 zeros to be consistent with a 5 number zip code. We do that at the gas pumps when we travel to the U.S. and it always works when they ask for a zip code. Hope this helps.

  2. You're right George, looks like he's gone. That can't help Star Vista's reputation for next year. They did the same thing to us on the Flower Power cruise last year. Disappointing for cruisers who book mainly because of that performance. What do you think, War replaced Scaggs, or War was a true add on and SV will find a replacement for Scaggs still?

  3. I’m pretty sure it will be quiet there. Don’t forget, most of us are older hippies. [emoji6]

Our third 60's Flower Power and first 70's Rock n' Romance chartered theme cruises come up in March 2019, so we can tell you first hand that old hippies are nothing but quiet! They rock and they roll pretty hard on Celebrity Summit/Infinity. Judging from the mixed comments, very good idea to have an A and a B side. ;p

  4. Can anyone figure out if the bed is near the balcony or near the door in Edge stateroom 9247? I can figure out the Solstice class bed locations but having trouble with the Edge. Thanks in advance!

When you look at the deck plan wherever the wall indent is, is where the bed is.

  5. We are also booked on the 2018 Flower Power Cruise and may be booking the b2b 70s cruise called Rock and Romance. We were part of the 2017 Flower Power cruise and I can confirm that it is not a regular cruise. You sort of forget you're on a cruise. Action packed, never nothing to do, music all day/night along with mingling with awesome artists and listening to the perspective of interesting narrators/historians. We met so many awesome friends. Where else are you going to be in the midst of like-minded people? Do it!

  6. Hi, not sure if I should be posting here or on the Celebrity Summit Roll Call thread so I did both and I'll wait and see what happens.

My husband and I just booked this Charter/Theme cruise. Anyone else on board?

We really had to think about this one. The price was not what we're used to. Then we figured the cruise isn't what we're used to, so let's try it. It really does look like a lot of fun. I checked with the Flower Power reservation desk and what convinced me to book, aside from the exciting itinerary is that Celebrity still offers packages for sale, such as beverage and specialty dining. We like to pay in advance so that when we're on board, it's not such a nuisance.

  7. I'm joining the group of disappointed Celebrity cruisers. We have 4 cruises booked, 3 on S class. I so missed the Molecular Bar on the Infinity South America cruise and we were very much looking forward to the most awesome drinks ever on the Equinox in October. I hope the replacement is equal and not another mistake like Michael's.

  8. Thank you so much John. I previously researched a considerable amount of sites in an attempt to gain knowledge of the landscape but couldn't get a description accurate enough to rely on. Your information very much helps.

To Floridiana, thank you also and I didn't list the ports because I assumed they were obvious.

  9. Thank you very much for your descriptive review. A group of 6 is doing the same cruise in January and for the most part, we are thinking of repeating your tours. I started a thread posing the following question but thought I would go directly to you also. Before I book any tours I must know whether the routes are on the side of mountains with cliffy roads. I don't do well on switchbacks and like to be forewarned.

  10. We are cruising Buenos Aires to Valparaiso with Celebrity in January and I have begun to organize my tours. Can anyone having done tours out of this cruise's ports tell me if any involve driving on the edge of mountains (cliffs). I
