Know your disappointment,  I would not be surprised if all passengers receive a FCC in the amount of one days room rate.

We were on a TA that had to divert around a huge storm and put us in a day late and shifted all ports by one day.   The next port was NYC and many had tickets for Saturday night for Hamilton.   Sunday was Black so no theaters and they were all out of luck.    They issued FCC's to everyone.

Had that happens 2 or 3 other times.

I was also on that cruise. Balcony furniture was tied down. Lots of rocking and rolling. But enjoyable!

San Pedro usually has a quick & pretty painless (unless you need wheelchair assistance, then it gets backed up) disembarkation...they don't do customs & they use the facial recognition scanners, so it goes mostly smoothly

Thanks all for the advice.  We scheduled a 10:00 pickup.

    Were outside at 9:30.

    Fortunately, driver was nearby.

    We texted him a selfie.

He said that made identification easier.

Yes - I had merely assumed that context from the question in the post, but actually you're both absolutely right that this question needs to be asked.

Thanks for looking out for me!  I’m staying at T2.

Following directions..I will walk through exit/car park..

Enter Arrivals at T2 and look for the Celebrity agent.

Interestingly…Celebrity agent didn’t know which Terminal the bus left from.

I told him that I would check with the folks on cruise critic.
    Thanks again,

    Barbara

The HGI is almost part of T2, so if that is an option it would be the more convenient one for you to reach.

I'm not sure whether John Bull was referring to the number of cruise passengers arriving at the current incarnation of T2, but the profile of flights arriving there is now different from those that used the old T2. I'd be surprised if there isn't now a significant number of cruise passengers there, given that it's basically the Star Alliance's terminal at Heathrow, and (for example) hosts all of United Airlines' flights.

Thank you so much!  This will make things so much better/easier

I used to drive cruise transfer coaches to & from Heathrow.

Unless Princess tell you differently when you book, choose the terminal which is most convenient from your hotel, tho T3 always used to have more cruisers than Ts 2 & 4 & 5, so have more-frequent cruise buses.

Go into the Arrivals Hall, and head for the exit from the Baggage Hall & Customs - as with any international airport there'll be quite a few drivers there holding up names. Staff from Princess, or more-likely their port agents, will be there in uniforms & very clearly Princess.

BTW if you're up to it when you fly in, both Windsor (& its castle) or Hampton Court Palace are reasonably close for an interesting and not-too-energetic day.

    JB 🙂

JB, Thank you so much for all your helpful information throughout the years.

Staying at HGI.  Using Celebrity transfer to Southampton.  Would you advise walking to T3. or trying for T2 for getting access to bus?
    Thanks,

    Barbara

  7. MThank you all for your help.   I had contacted the hotel hoping they could recommend a car service.   That worked well in Rome  hotels. This hotel directed me to the nearest taxi stand.  At 3:30 AM!  Not when last time at Barcelona hotel I was going to wait outside for taxi.  The clerk warned against it, "You will get robbed."

A helpful friend from my roll call recommended a service.

Following Flyer Talker's advice I sent email inquiry to Lufthansa re:check in counter opening time. They said they will reply.  Giving it few more hours then will call.

I also was relieved to learn that BCN is open 24/7.

Thanks again! (forgive that initial M....when I try to correct on this site with the iPad....all gets erased)

  8. Have a 6 AM flight from Barcelona to Frankfurt then to USA.  Wondering what time to have car service pick up at hotel.  Is check in 2 hours or 3 hours before flight?

    Thanks for any insight!

  9. Hi Susancelia

If you bump into Valentina (entertainment manager) she could perhaps find out. She was on Millennium last month so may understand what you mean.

Say "Hi" from me please. Her Dad.

    HI Esprit,

I met your lovely daughter,Valentina, on her first contract. Think it was the Constellation, then later on another contract/ship. Glad to see that she is now entertainment manager!!

  10. ValueTrips doesn't even have April 2018 rates listed yet....but this past April it was $219.00 per night (that's what we paid for this past March)...so not that much difference. Did you include the taxes on your above quoted price...and what nights of the week are you staying? You can also cancel 24 hours prior to arrival too with VT and did you need to pre-pay...you aren't charged by VT you pay the hotel directly at checkout.

Tried to book April 2018. Just got email from valuetrips..."too early, check back in Sept." The $219 daily rate comes to $249 with taxes.

  11. The Key Lime Margarita's at Kelly's are a MUST. Also, breakfast, drinks at Pepe's. I had the BEST strawberry/fresh squeezed oj screwdriver there. Well, I had TWO and breakfast. I had to save myself for Kelly's. GO...you will not be sorry!!

Happy Mother's Day, cruising friend. Have a Mudslide.

  12. That's a great question.

I didn't have anything in mind particularly, but I am sure they do something for other more universally celebrated holidays (like Christmas) and I didn't know if whatever special things they do then would transfer over to Thanksgiving.

    Special menu?

    Live music in the restaurant?

Table decorations (tasteful not corrugated paper turkeys although my kids would love that!)

I don't know, I just wondered if it was different or special.

I realize not all X customers are American but just wondered if it was somehow different.

Thanksgiving is a special holiday to us. But it is really being with family that is the most important part.

Have spent Thanksgiving on various ships. It's a meal on par w/ average

local Thanksgiving offerings. I was relieved to not cook. My husband stopped at grocery on drive home so that I could "make OUR Thanksgiving ". LOL

Your children are young enough to enjoy..so...stop at $ store or supermarket & get small decorations for their place settings. Have a good cruise.

  13. Hello everyone. On Sunday I am supposed to go on a cruise but my friend is suffering from tooth related issues and can perhaps not go. What's the best way to deal with Celebrity about this? DO I call to cancel his ticket? I understand that his fare will not be refunded, but I have read that I might be hit with a single supplement which mean I am effectively paying for 3 tickets. If this is the case - I am not goning on the cruise.

Thanks for all advise. Hope to enjoy Silhouette on Sunday![/quote

Check in alone....when questioned reply, "he/she missed flight will not be

    attending this cruise"

They will reply, "Thank you for telling us. Have a nice cruise." And they will hand you your card. Enjoy!

We will also be on this cruise
