I think the idea of putting water in a small zip lock bag and freezing it and then putting the bag in the drink is great. I love ice cold drinks and think this would be safe--wouldn't it??? I guess this also depends on if the rooms have a frig. or not!

Thanks Cynthia for the link on King Tut exhibit. Too bad it is not coming to either St. Louis or Kansas city. I can drive to either one of those in about 2 1/2 hours. Guess I will have to be contend to see everything at the Egyptian Museum.

I dont' remember ever seeing the King tut exhibit , but would love to. Is this going to be another travelling exhibit?? If so, is it coming to St. Louis? I live about 2 1/2 hours from St. Louis so could easily drive in for that.

I would love to take a course in Egyption History but have inquired at our local Univ. and nothing is offered. How lucky you are! We are planning our trip for Oct. of 2009 so I would have plenty of time to immerse myself in the history! I envy you!

I can't say it as eloquantly as Seafun but MVPinBoynton I do hope you have a wonderful time. How excited you must be! I hope everything you wish for happens and the trip is exactly what you want it to be.

Thanks--I will be looking forward to your report. We have been on 2 Tauck tours and loved both of them. I don't think you can go wrong with them. I am torn between Tauck and Maupintours. We have also been on several Maupintours and really liked them too, but I think Tauck is a little more "upscale". The thing I love about the Maupintour trip to Egypt is that it is 16 days and the Nile cruise is on the Oberoi Philae, which I really want to be on. The thing I love about Tauck is that they stay at the Four Seasons in Cairo. Decisions, decisions!!!

When do you travel to Egypt??
