  1. We're sailing this Saturday and have a "free" specialty meal. I'm trying to decide which of these three we should try out. Things to consider 1) we have 2 people who don't eat pasta/bread much at all 2) 2 other people in the group are not even remotely adventurous in their eating 3) yet a third pair are teenagers.

Any suggestions would be really helpful.

  2. I just left an indoor archery range tonight. You really only need about 30 yards deep and that would be really easy on one of these megaships. It could be done, but won't be because there just isn't the interest. Takes way too long to get decent.

  3. So I'm aware you can bring 2 bottles of wine per cabin. I'm also aware that's the only thing you can bring on per the rules. We have a local hard cider producer who packages the cider in wine bottles.

Anyone have a guess as to where that would fall? Not trying to start a fight here, just wondering if these are legit.

... sorry about the giant picture, hopefully that isn't flagged as advertising... it isn't mean that way.

  4. Am I thinking straight here? I know a JS gives you double points but can be up to double the price of a balcony. If you'd prefer "more cruises" to "faster loyalty advancement" is there any particular reason to book a JS?

Apologies if this has been hashed to death, as I'm sure it has. I tried searching and didn't feel like I arrived at a definitive answer.

  5. I am going to hope that the query from the staff was more like questioning whether you also wanted a coffee, rather than making it sound as if you 'were expected to be purchasing a coffee to get whatever snack you were asking for'.

In all my cruises, 15 to date, I have never felt that it was expected to purchase a drink at Café Lattitudes on any ship.

    I believe the conversation went

Wife : Are the cookies free?

Guy behind counter : They're complimentary with coffee.

Me : *raising cup* This is coffee, does that count?

    Guy : *chuckle* sure!

  6. No charge for the food at Cafe Latte-Tudes. Years ago, some ships would say we needed to buy a drink to get the snacks, but that hasn't happened in a long while.

We got the "with a coffee" answer on Vision last week. I was holding a cup of coffee from the Windjammer, said "this is coffee" and that was sufficient.
