Our first NCL cruise was on the Dawn about 15 years ago. We were just one her this year in March. We had a great time and love this ship. The carpet in some areas is showing some wear, but that is to be expected since it will be going into dry dock within the next couple years (I forget when). The food and staff were excellent in my opinion. We would sail on her again without hesitation.

We are going doing the 10-Day Northern Europe from Reykjavik to London: Iceland & Norway next July on Prima. What are your thoughts on a Vibe pass for this itinerary? I never had a Vibe pass before. If it was a warm weather itinerary, then I would scoop it right up. Just wondering what considerations I should make for this itinerary. Thank you for any insight/thoughts.

Thank you for the information. We are doing this same itinerary next July on the Prima. I was curious about the weather. Thank you for mentioning it. I looked at excursions for our cruise and not all posted yet. I didn't expect them to be. Your experiences will be helpful when they do become available.
Did you arrive in Reykjavik several days prior to your cruise or did you arrive on the day of it? If so, where did you stay? What did you do? How did you get to the port? We are coming in two days early next year.
Happy sailing!

To anyone that has done the NCL land-sea package to Alaska:
During the 6-day land portion, are there excursions offered by NCL? Or is it a do-it-yourself?
How are the hotels that NCL provides for the land portion?
Since the first two nights are in Fairbanks, shall I take a chance and NOT fly in day early, so if something happens with my flight, I can just catch up with the group at the hotel the next day?
And last, but not least, any extra spectacular sights/sites I should be sure to see/visit?
TIA, cruising peeps!
We are leaving for a 5 day pre cruise land tour in two weeks. Once you complete the online check-in (21 days prior), you will receive a digital booklet that lists a detailed itinerary for each day. Your cruise e-documents will list the hotel that you will be staying in each night. Between both of them, you will have all the information you will need. It may not help with too much pre-planning before checkin. We are staying at the Grande Denali Lodge, a Sheraton, and River's Edge Resort in Fairbanks. All look great to me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts about this trip. We are taking the Jewel in June. You comments are making me even more excited. I didn't think that was possible.

I have been on 5 cruises and never been to the spa. The reason is that I am unsure of what one can do with a spa pass. I have sailed mainly with NCL. I read about the heated loungers. However, why do people buy spa passes? What do you enjoy/do in the spa area? I don't want to be pressured to buy things. Is that common?
Also, what is the expected etiquette? Do people wear their swimsuits to the spa or change there? I am truly newbie in this area.
Any tips would be appreciated as I am debating on bidding for an upgrade to NCL spa balcony suite.

Where will we find your live feeds from your upcoming Princess trips? Will I have to scout the Princess threads? We are also considering Princess for our next Alaskan cruise so I am really looking forward to what you think of Princess.
Have a. great end of the year. I am also a teacher so I understand how intense at the end.
Take care--
