  1. We also had smokers on both sides of us on one cruise. Every time we opened up our balcony door the smoke was sucked into our cabin. We went through the complaint channels and ended up having an air purifier placed in our room for several hours, however the smoking continued. By mid week we stopped using our balcony because the smoking continued. We therefore no longer book balcony cabins.

We also recently reminded a smoker he was on the no smoking side of the deck so what did he do???.... Flick the lit cigarette overboard!!!

  2. Just there twice in the past 2 months. Get a taxi as soon as you leave the port terminal building. Make sure you agree on a price (no more than) 10$-12$ For the private ride to the hotel, for the both of you. If you arrange for a taxi inside the terminal it's 4$ pp and you have to wait till they cram all 16 of you in a mini van. The past few times we were there they were not letting anyone wander around especially the beach or aquarium area. Once at Atlantis You can walk around the outdoor shops and view the yachts and dock area and go to the casino and restaurants It is very easy to get a taxi back to the ship just go to the taxi stand. Again it's 4$ pp. be prepared for a wild and crazy ride!!!!!

  3. Got off the carnival sensation, port Canaveral 2 weeks ago. DH had to use a wheelchair for medical reasons for this cruise. We notified carnival and requested a handicap room. Had to pay a bit more for this as it apparently was considered an upgrade. We arrived at the port and waited in the platinum line. After we checked in at the door it became a joke.. As my husband was trying to figure out how to get thru security I was fighting with the people going thru the regular lines and placing there items on the scanner without giving us a chance to place our few small bags. Finally we made it upstairs to get our sail and sign card and that became another task. I had to push my husband from one end of the hall to the other twice, because the small room they use for platinum/diamond VIFP could not accommodate the amount of people. Not once during the time we arrived at the port to the time we finally got in our cabin did anyone employed by carnival offer any assistance. This statement is also the same for embarkation. One female did say I'm sorry but we can't help you! I thanked her anyway.
