Yay! My TA called this morning to give me the news. She also forwarded this notice from HAL:
Statement Date:
Embark Date: Ship:
Jun 10, 2022
Jun 19, 2022 Noordam
Voyage: From Port: To Port:
N241 Whittier Vancouver
IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION
We wish to advise you of an update to our onboard mask policy for your voyage. Out of an abundance of caution due to the rise in positive COVID-19 cases throughout Alaska, all guests will be required to wear face masks at all times while indoors on board during your cruise, except when eating or drinking or in their own staterooms. Masks are highly recommended while outdoors in large gatherings or if physical distancing cannot be maintained. We also strongly recommend wearing masks while ashore, particularly when indoors, on public transportation or in crowded areas. Masks are also required on all cruise line- sponsored transportation, such as motorcoaches and rail.
Guests who do not comply with this mandate may not be permitted to board the ship or may be disembarked.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to exploring Alaska with you.Has anyone else gotten a message like this? The HAL website still has the same 'recommended' and I'm not seeing this anywhere else. I have an Alaska cruise coming up next month and this is a worry of mine.

Thanks for the heads up, I haven't received that email myself yet. We are doing a land first in July from Fairbanks.

Thank you so much @dfilpus
I also just opened the attachment in the booking email for the 1st time and page 4 had lot's of details that I didn't notice before. I'm going to go check out the Alaska brochure you referenced right now.

I recently booked the D3L: 14-Day Double Denali Cruise (https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/find-a-cruise/A2S07AD3L/I251.html)
When I go to Manage my Booking, there is no information about the land portion, except for the ability to book excursions during that period. When/How do I find out about the included tours, hotels, etc.
All info would be helpful!

Disembarkation required quite a bit of patience today. We got home about 3:15 PM (We live an hour south of the port)
We left our room at 9:00 AM and sat in the Alchemy bar for over 3 hours just waiting. Then, the normal line to get off, with everyone using the wrong elevators 🙂
Then the line in the port terminal seemed longer that I had ever experienced.
It didn't mar the cruise experience, but it was frustrating at times.

I have a Barclaycard Rewards, but appear to be out of the loop on this. Is this a specific Carnival credit card?

My husband and I are on this cruise with you on the 21st. We are so excited!
Just got word that we got off the 6:00 seating waitlist and are now confirmed for that time. We like meeting other folks at dinner, so I think I'll call Carnival and let them know we would prefer to be seated with a large party.
I also just watched a bit of Lee's video that was posted earlier and just heard there is no bar in the casino. That's kinda a bummer, I usually enjoy the casino bar.

Great review so far! Really enjoy reading it as I will be leaving on the Jewel next Sunday :)
Can't wait to hear about what you did at the rest of the ports

I'll be there Sunday! Hopefully the smoke clears a bit by then. I'm doing the D3l: 14-Day Double Denali. We get to Fairbanks on Sunday, July 3rd to do the land portion and board the Nieuw Amsterdam on July 10th.
I also am happy more people are posting about the land tours. When I made this reservation about a year ago, it seemed like there was no info about the land portion.
