  1. Hi - I am new to cruising and this is my first post.

I am flying over from London to go on the Carnival Sunshine in August 2015. I am not a massive drinker but I do like to have a few extra on holiday and was thinking about the drinks package on Carnival Cruises, I think it is the Cheers package. I am on an 8 day cruise and it costs $37.50 plus tax and gratuity per day. Which covers up to 15 drinks per day. I suppose in hot weather, including soft drinks and water, I would drink 15 per day, but I am just not sure whether it is worth adding such a big expense onto my holiday.

Should I instead pay by the glass? But I have heard drinks are really expensive.

Can anyone give me their opinions on drinks packages. Are they good value?

    Thanks

I read that you can have unlimited soda pop if your purchase Cheers.

  2. I love the vanilla pastry. But of course you can get them at brunch, on the lido and thru room service.

I use to eat the eggs benedict but the last time I did the sauce was so thick and nasty I do not think I will order them again.

If you order the sauce on the side, it is MUCH better. :). Preacher's wife

  3. I agree! We will be on the dream in exactly one month! And in New Orleans for the first time the day before. We can't wait to see the french quarter for ourselves. :). Preacher's wife

  4. I read that it was 75 per person. I would love to try it this August but I just got braces and it would be hard to navigate through all that yummy food. Preacher's wife.

  5. Serene,

I've been reading some of the posts and you really seem to have a lot of knowledge regarding the rooms of the ships :)! If you don't mind, I have a question for you. My husband and I booked two guarentee OV rooms on the Holiday. Today we found out that the rooms are 6BM182 and 6BM186. I'm excited that our family will be right next to each other but the rooms are very aft and there is a white space below us. Would you be able to tell me anything about those rooms?

    Thanks so much!
