You can also make reservations from the interactive monitors near the elevators and stairs, just need your keycard to swipe.  Reservations can also be made from your cabin TV.  Since you may not immediately have access to your cabin, and lines become long on boarding day, your best bet is to do it yourself at one of the touchscreens.

I may have missed this feature, but I did not see anywhere on the interactive monitors where you could scan a card and when you selected the dining feature, it told you where it was located. I didn't see an option to select anything else. Is that a feature on the Viva and not Prima?

I'll airdrop you some hash browns if you sneak back in again and ask the lucky ones where they got the Vibe tickets on embarkation day.  I'm on in two weeks.

I am sorry. Everyone I wasnt able to get this information.

Sorry to bother, but does the buffet have the station where someone makes an omelet with what you want in it? (So far, none of the Youtube videos have shown this.)

Edited to add: Oh and do they have real dairy half and half? (Like Cloud House or something). When I go, I need to know if I have to drag boxes of Land O Lakes Mini Moos aboard.

No bother. There were 2 omelet stations at the buffet.

@Texas Realtor...thanks for your review.  I'm enjoying it.  I was on the Prima a month ago.  Like you, I didn't experience ANY of the issues I had read complaints about.  It's a beautiful ship.

Like any ship, depending on where your cabin is (e.g. below the gym where you'd hear weights banging), I found it quiet.

Cookies are available....they were throughout the ship, or as you did, just ask for them.

Syd's is a tough get.  But, that shows just how popular those shows are.  Rumors seemed to be the toughest seat to get.  I passed because I had seen it on another ship.  But, worth seeing if you've never seen it before.

Crew was friendly and cheerful (although I did have some complaints about medical staff). But, that's another story.  Overall, service was great.

    It's a beautiful ship.

I think some cruisers want the more traditional large buffet type dining venue, which Prima does not have.  Instead, they push you towards Indulge and some of the other places (which there are plenty of) to dine.

I have found the buffet to be perfectly normal. Its not as large, but the food is fine and seating is not as difficult as I thought it would be based on reviews that I read

  5. So far my biggest beef is the fact that starbucks does not open until 6:30 and they do not have any baileys there. My wife likes baileys in her coffee, and I have to go down to deck 6 after I get the coffee, which can be a wait at times.

I am not much of a coffee drinker, so it doesn't bother me personally, but I do get my wife coffee in the morning.

I feel so old. I am staying in an interior cabin, solo studio, and I have been awake before 5 all but one day.

I am not even 50 yet. LOL

Thank you so much for doing this - it really helps others get the most out of their holiday. Very kind.

If you pass by please could you check out the current cost (if there is one) for the darts and the mini golf - both in the stadium I think.

Also favourite bars/drinks/restaurants/ meals would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks, Lisa

So far, I don't have a favorite bar or restaurant. I definitely have favorite bartenders. I am a little disappointed that they seem to move the crew around. I like to get familiar with my waiters/bartenders. It seems like I get someone new nearly every time.

I will see. The only vibe passengers I have talked with so far booked in advance.

Can you post what time you docked/had to be back on in costa maya (+the other ports if you remember)? On the same itinerary next week!

so far everything has been right on schedule. Costa maya clear to deboard at about 12:50 and all aboard at 7:50.

I HIGHLY recommend doing cooking class at catrina's in costa maya.

awesome experience. Macarena was our hostess. she was great.

  9. So far, I don't really understand all of the negativity (Reviews) about this ship. It is a little difficult to navigate, but its not horrible. Chairs are available by the pool, indulge was crowded, but i was able to get a table for lunch yesterday. The only real complaint is that you HAVE to get reservations for just about everything as soon as you are allowed. Specialty dining MUST be reserved months in advance if you want a decent time. The best thing to do is book for 2 multiple times and then ask them to combine your reservations. We have a party of 9 and have 4 reservations for 2 and they allowed us to sit 9 at onva last night. Everyone on board gets free drinks, so it may take a few minutes in the morning to get a bloody mary or mimosa, but after 12 most of the bars are open and it lightens the traffic.

On day one, I started tipping a dollar for each drink. I had a bartender tell me when and where he would be the next day. Surprisingly the bartenders dont all stay at the same bar. I guess there is a reason for that.

Can you post a picture of the dailies? Thanks in advance!

I am saving them, but it is a pain in the rear to send pics. Even though I have the streaming internet, I have not been able to send pics. I was able to facetime my family at home, so not sure why I cant send pictures. I will upload when the cruise is over.

Thank you for taking the time.
What time were cabins ready and any suggestions for embarkation day lunch.

We will be in a  regular Balcony Cabin.
    Is your cabin noisy?
    Thanks again.

We booked late in January and its my wife son and I traveling. They didn't have a balcony available for 3, so I am in the 13539 solo cabin. It is very quiet. My wife is in 12730 and she says it is fine. We have friends on 16 that are complaining about deck chairs above them.

Thanks for offering to answer questions.  If you have the drink package how does ncl do it out of Galveston? Did you notice if they are selling vibe passes at customer service or somewhere else on the ship on embarkation day?

There were limited bars open in Galveston, but you could get a drink. They charged 8.25% sales tax. Didn't notice a limited menu, but I did notice the beers had texas written on them. VIbe was sold out by the time we were aboard. at 1. They had a sign out saying that as soon as you got on the ship.
