For Normandy step outside the box of a ships tour and check out Overlord Tours. They come with stellar reviews, small I think max is 16 passengers per van. I’m on their wait list for July 2023

Thanks. I know someone on the next cruise and she wanted to do one of these. I am guessing they will try Sabatini's.

I will keep checking, but as of yesterday, our June cruise was booked for Normandy beaches…Omaha Beach, in particular. Would anyone recommend a travel service(excursion) for this?

I just went to book excursion to Normandy for a cruise in 10 months and it’s completely full. Heartbroken as it was our main reason for this trip. Are there any other options available which are pretty much guaranteeing us back to ship on time. My husband is 75 and was very interested.

Thanks for this information. We ended up doing it the first time around, but it definitely wasn’t worth price extra. Going to check out your recommendation.

RCCL newly. I am only able to secure one beach club full day pass at coco cay. I reserved it on hopes that another pass will come available before we sail or once onboard. We are in a suite and I think we could be placed on a priority wait list. Does anyone have experience with this, does this seem reasonable/even possible, or should I cancel 48 hours before sailing? How do I get on a waitlist? Concierge? Shore excursion desk? We are in an owner’s suite, not Star Class - it was not available when we booked.
New to RCCL, but not new to cruises - Elite+ on Celebrity, so Diamond reciprocity on RCCL - that probably doesn’t make a difference for shore excursions. On 4/12/2022 at 3:49 PM, brillohead said:
If you haven't been to Coco Cay, why not just check out the whole area and see what you like? There are so many different areas of the island, you could try all of them and then have an idea for next time if you want to try the beach club or not.
There are three different Chill Island Beaches, Breezy Bay Beach, South Beach, and Harbor Beach, plus the Oasis Lagoon Pool, all with free loungers and umbrellas and food. -

I booked an upcoming cruise in a full suite prior to the roll out of club class. On my cruise personalized my dining is listed as anytime dining. I've read of others whose personalizer read club class dining. I just called Princess to ask them to refresh my booking to reflect the new dining. I was told because I am in the suite I am entitled to club class dining but the personalizer will still be listed as anytime dining. My question is: For others booked in a suite what does your personalizer say for your dining?

I just changed mine on princess website from traditional to anytime and it came up CC. I bet you can do same thing under Manage My Account.

I have 2 cruises coming up in full suites and my Personalizer lists both as just "Anytime Dining." But I know that I can go to the CC dining area.
Go in and change it anyway to anytime dining and CC comes up automatically

thanks for the post..that makes more sense..so I'm hearing there is still breakfast in Sabatinis? My wife loves that perk. It does make sense to change to anytime dining thus freeing up two spaces for traditional 6pm in MDR..and like you said if we want 6pm we still have it:cool: BTW we are on the Grand Princess, already checked and they do have the CCD but the suite perk breakfast at Sabatinis is awesome glad its still available.
I just changed from traditional to anytime with my suite reservation and you’re correct...it automatically said CC, whereas, before...nothing about CC

I agree with others that you got bad advice re Breakfast perk. Enjoy Sabatinis.
As for Traditional dining, sounds like you got the right info. It confused me at first until I understood (a) you can still dine every night at 6pm if you choose, but with C C you have the flexibility of time if you want it, still with no waiting and now with improved quality/choice/service, and (b) by moving to Anytime, it releases your table in the MDR for others, while you enjoy CC.
Hope that helps.
Just did this to give someone else traditional dining [emoji41]

i can’t find enough information on going overland Hellesylt to Geiranger. Cruising the fiord sounds great and then booking a bus tour on arrival seems to round out the experience. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance.
I had the same thoughts as you. I originally booked the bus tour out of Hellesylt (and wondered if I would regret missing the ship’s view of the fiord to Geiranger. I then decided to cruise from Hellesylt to Geiranger and independently book the electric car for 3 hours. I’m very excited!

Politics don't belong in presentations of this sort. Hopefully this won't be the case on our upcoming cruise. I don't like politics at any time actually.
I have to agree with you...vacation and sporting events are no place for politics

trying to book tours for British Isles cruise
in Princess Cruises

Hello. I have an email into them to check if they pick up at Princess port stop. We supposedly get in at 7am. I’m wondering if the van waits for you if you aren’t able to get up ship in time, with Princess excursions given priority. Can anyone provide insight into this. I haven’t heard back from them yet.
