We are booked on a 24 day cruise on the Diamond from Tokyo to Sydney.
We are a family of three with our then almost 5 year old. I picked this room because it seems to have the space we want for a long cruise the only thing is it is at the front of the ship; I know we will feel the movement more. Is it best to keep this with the space or move to another room mid ship to a smaller suite? Has anyone experinced a room up front? The patio wraps around looks awesome. Pros/Cons?

I played this joke on some friends a few years ago when we were going on a cruise; I google random cruise pics mostly formal night pics with your typical cruise backdrop; lot's to choose from. I find a pic of the person your playing joke on from their face book or good face pic of them you might already have. I then add both pics to Photo shop (the new version is simple to use). I upload the face pic of the friend crop it and add it to the random formal night/cruise pic. I take my time to get it just perfect- I then either order $1.49 or print 8x10's at home.
I sneak them in my bag onto the cruise and I will slip the photo either behind the real ones the ships photographers have done or put in a random spot in the pics area, I usually tell the staff what I'm doing and they think it's funny;
after dinner you suggest lets all go look at our pics and to their surprise they are with another family or person they have never met. The first time I did this I convinced our friend that she had a twin she never met and was looking for her 1/2 of the cruise http://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I like watching the newbie cruisers and how overwhelming the ship is; It's great to see the reaction to how big the ship is...
I will never forget I overheard a first time cruiser complaining about the view from her balcony;and she wanted to change rooms because it overlooked the "ugly roof top" of the cruise terminal; her husband reminded her that the ship would have a different view after we sailed... What was she thinking???

I was on a RCC last year out of the port of Los Angeles; a lady who was on her first cruise was complaining to the front desk that she did not like her view from her balcony cabin as it was overlooking the the cruise terminal building...
Did she really think that would be the same view all week???
A fun practical joke to play with someone in your group
