The only thing I saw or heard in Walvis Bay was the bunker boat whirring till all hours of the morning. Fortunately I'd been through Namibia before. The Captain said Walvis Bay was not up to the standard required for a cruise ship.
Did they bunker in Cape Town?

After leaving Cape Town, South Africa they had a day at sea before arriving in Walvis Bay, Namibia today:
I have been to Walvis Bay, Namibia before back in November 2019 on Queen Elizabeth.
There is not very much to do there, apart from a shopping centre and a lot of flamingos.
My memory's from my day where was a doggy taxi driver who took us to see the flamingos.

All joking aside, does anybody carry coins anymore?
I haven't carried coins for years, always feel bad passing buskers, don't really carry any cash with me, just rely on my plastic. just carry a $50 note for emergencies.
Yep, I carry coins all the time, and I also try and pay for most things with cash, unless its over $40 - $50+ then I will use may card.

I'm just imagining how long this thread will be when the WC return to OZ.
The last World Cruise thread I did in 2023 got to 19 pages, so I think this thread will get to that about there or more.

Carnival Cruise Line to Absorb P&O Australia
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted
RIP P&O Australia 😞
They will be missed.
It will be interesting to see what changes Carnival does.
It will also be interresting to see how much support Carnival will give to the people in the South Pacific, like what P&O does now?
