  1. *LOL* Coming from someone who roped off their lawn with yellow police "Do Not Cross" tape when I had it reseeded (complete with a chalk outline on the side walk :).

I really like the "For Rent "sign idea.

Stuff like that has a two fold effect . It gives a chuckle to people with a sense of humor , and annoys the hell out of people who don't.

    Whats better than that ?

How about this...a "Quarantined" sign?? Then, when you hear some folks going by you go out and start coughing in the hall. Eh?:)

  2. I can't believe this thread. The same people who don't get the stuffed toy thing are likely the same ones who would jump up and down if their room steward didn't put the towel animals on their bed every night.

    Everybody has their own binkies.

For example, and I'm included and not criticizing anyone here...but how many folks on land (or sea) have to lug around bottled water everywhere they go 24/7?

How bout those of us who have to have a drink in one hand and a smoke in the other?

    Everybody has their own binkies.;)

  3. All three of us are first time cruisers, we will be sailing the Carnival Legend from June 6 - 13 to the Western Caribbean. I have read that finding your cabin can be overwhelming, I'm just curious if you can put a sign or something on the outside of our door? Is this something that would be ok or something that would be frowned upon?

It would be overwhelming if there weren't cabin numbers, deck, numbers, etc..

  4. It was my understanding that you couldn't book a future cruise while on the Conquest. Am I wrong?

The only way I know of is to go to the internet cafe and go to the Carnival web site and book it. I really don't get that when I could do it from home.

If you are asking if they have some desk that sells future cruises..no, they don't. I believe Royal Carribean has on-board future cruise sales wherein you get some on board credit or something. Carnival is probably missing an opportunity to get people who are all excited and would book another on the spot.

  5. Question about when the next date is that they do the 90 day immigration check of the crew. Someone on another thread said they just sailed on the Conquest from 4/13 to 4/20, and embarkation was a nightmare because of this. Sooo... going forward from 4/13, does this mean the next crew check is going to be on 7/13?

I mentioned it but it must have been someone else that said "nightmare". It just delayed things for maybe an hour and a half when you're sitting in your assigned "zone". They said it was a mandatory 90 day check and didn't say when the next one would take place. Don't cancel your cruise over that.

  6. We like to book 1A rooms for us and our teenage kids, we love the cheap price and dont mind the size of the room or the bunks either.

I noticed there are two cabins 6224/6227 on the Upper Deck and wanted to know if ANYBODY knows what the empty space is around them?

We are about to book Spring Break 2009 and dont want to have some strange noises around us.

    thanks for your help!

p.s we stay in 1207/1211 and it was very very loud with crashing waves, so we are hoping to stay on the higher floor this time.

We just came back and were in 6220 which as I recall is next door to 6224. They are balconies on the port side. The odd numbered cabins are on the starboard side. Nothing but hallway on our side. It was quiet, no problems. It was very nice.
