There have been numerous reports of people who have asked on board and the answer has always been the same. No upgrades or OBC. Right up there with popcorn at the movies soda from a fountain has one of the highest markups of any product. That $10 a day soda package is costing them pennies.
My point is still the same. You can blindly trust internet wisdom and never even try or you can spend a few minutes, talk to a human onboard, and see what happens. Literally the worst thing that can happen is they tell you no and you go on with your vacation having lost nothing more than a few minutes. Maybe you get someone especially nice and they give you a drink coupon or two as a concession.
As Michael Jordan said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

I’d say it never hurts to ask onboard. If you buy a higher package explain that having two packages that cover sodas makes no sense and ask for an OBC for the value of the soda package. Just because it was free to you doesn’t mean it is without value.

Nobody at these ports checks passports. The only ID he'll need is a driver's license. Leave the passport on ship.
This is not the best advice. They check passports before they let you embark on the first day and also again when you return "home" on the last day. You could be denied entry with a passport expiring in less than six months. I would, at a minimum, call RCCL directly and discuss with them. Better yet, you have already identified the issue so can you get a renewal before you travel and just eliminate all doubt?

Alcoholism has nothing to do with drinks per day. You could have one drink per day and be an alcoholic, if you can NOT make it thru the day without that one drink, technically that is alcoholism.
Binge Drinking:
NIAAA defines binge drinking as a pattern of drinking that brings blood alcohol concentration (BAC) levels to 0.08 g/dL. This typically occurs after 4 drinks for women and 5 drinks for men—in about 2 hours.
If you spread those 7 drinks over the course of a whole day, it doesn't even qualify as Binge Drinking.
It is obvious from your posts, YOU have a problem with alcohol, even it if is other people simply having a drink. I'm also sure you have your own vices you should probably address before worrying about what other people do. You know that whole "mote" and "beam" thing.
Looks I touched a nerve for you. Good luck.

For anyone interested in an actual answer, the break even is usually 7 drinks per day including port days....
Seven drinks per day for every day of your cruise is basically alcoholic level stuff. Plus an absolute ton of calories. Do what you want obviously but the value is not there unless you’re a heavy drinker.

Just don't buy the drink package. Unless you plan to be plastered the whole time you're almost certainly better off just buying individual drinks. And that doesn't even begin to consider the number of calories you're drinking!! Eek.

I got these before our last cruise on Anthem in March and was very happy with them. Nice braided metal loop for attachment and you just stuff the printout into the sleeve.

We are currently accepting air reservations through March 6, 2019. On August 30,2018 we will open our schedule for sale through April 5, 2019. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Our cruise travel agent won't even quote non-refundable rates unless you specifically ask and even then he's very cautionary about it. As he says, "sometimes life gets in the way of fun." It's vacation - no need to stress over having your money locked up if something changes.

I just used AIG for my just-concluded cruise and was happy with the coverage, price, and polish of their product (luggage tags, coverage cheat sheet, etc). It's worth at least price comparing. https://mvp.travelguard.com/

We were on Anthem in March. There was a big Autism At Sea group onboard. I assume this is not a normal option but might be something to consider if you can book while that program is going on.
There will be big crowds and loud noise constantly and pretty much everywhere.
