I was on the cruise that puli talked about. I am also a nurse who works in an allergy office. Trust me to say that this was totally different. I am glad to say that our friend is on the mend and the rest of us are ok.
i think that the doctors on board need to be aware that whooping cough is on the rise.
Everyone is aware of noro virus. A contagious respiratory disease is more serious and long lasting.
Bottom line. Consider all possibilities

I am thinking of booking a b2b. A question just hit me. We are D plus. Will we get our welcome gift (wine) for both cruises? Or with all of the cut backs, treat it as 1 cruise and we only get 1 welcome gift?
Thanks

My husband had a great response to this issue. He said, what would stop the US govt from limiting us from going there? (st pete) He said that would be taking away tourist dollars from them.

thanks

Thanks for all of the answers. I asked the question because I too was looking for "mixers" for beverages. I plan on ordering a bottle for our cabin. I know that it comes with some mixers but I figured they would run out before the alcohol does.
I figured if I got a soda package not only could I have sodas by the pool but also have additional mixers if needed. Diet Pepsi doesn't sound good with either gin or vodka lol. Plus, I prefer diet tonic.
I really didn't want the hassle of getting my own to take onboard.

I had to visit the medical center on a RCCL ship last fall. I have your same insurance.
When I returned home, I submitted my claim. I was told to send it to one department which turned out to be wrong. They let it sit there without sending it to the correct people.
Long story short. Anthem did pay for my claim BUT it took over 4 months to receive my money back.
FYI, I had to see a Dr in St Thomas and have ultrasounds done. Our insurance covered all of that. They took our ins card at the Dr and ultrasound place. Only had to pay co=pays. They filed the claims. Thanks goodness I was in a US procession when I had to get ultrasounds.

Thanks but I was hoping not to bring my own onboard.

According to NCL's site, diet pepsi is the only diet drink listed. Is this correct? Do I have any other choices?
Thanks

we just got off the oasis on Sat. we only ate in the MDR on the last night. We ate 4 nights in the WJ. I don't mind getting my own food so that I can get what and how much I want.
We thought it was very relaxing in the WJ. They also "sat" us each night (helped us find a table and brought silverware). That was much like eating in a place state side.
We would do it again.
BTW, we had MTD and made resv each night. The one night we did eat in the MDR, we had only about a 5 min wait.

I also think that we were supposed to cruise together next year on RCCL doing the Pacfic. If I remember, you cancelled and booked something else.
We ended up canceling too and rebooked on X doing the Baltics in June. It was to be our first time trying Celebrity but we cheated and booked a cruise for this Nov. to "check out the ship" before we are on the Eclipse for 14 days.
Any excuse for a cruise;)

I just tried to "book" this for our 6/12 cruise and it doesn't even show prices:eek:
I had no problems booking it for our 11/11 cruise.
I think you are correct about next year's cruises. As a matter of fact, it didn't show any prices for any of the bev options.

ps
I also checked for a one time good deal on the bev package. No such luck:(
I know, I shouldn't be greedy;)

Thanks for the heads up. Just got done booking ours for our Nov. Eclipse cruise.
We have done this workshop before thru our local winery. Excellent workshop. We could definately tell the difference.
Looking forward to adding to our glass collection.:)

I think it is Time to Say Goodbye

Sorry to hear about your bad experience on our tour.:( Let's hope you had your one bad tour and all the rest will be winners.

Thank you so, so much. We are booked in a 1A cabin (same design as yours) and I was having some concerns about the space and storage.
It looks like it will be fine. After all, we are only 2 adults and look how you have done with 4.
You have given the best tour of the inside of a cabin. It is so much easier to understand when you do a video of it while explaining things. People had said that there was alot of storage in the bathroom, but I had no idea of what they were talking about.
You are a saint for taking the time and trouble to do this for all of us.
Thanks a million.

Thank you for the photos and the day by day review.
We have 2 cruises booked on the Eclipse and this is getting me excited. We too have never sailed on her or on Celebrity for that matter.
Love your tips.

They did not do the full turn at the glacier for us either. This was our 4th Alaskan cruise and they have everyother time. I kept waiting for him to turn the other direction but instead we left.
-
We arrived at the glacier after lunch. We ate in the MDR. My husband had to leave early to take pictures. The outer decks were already crowded. We were on the heli pad.
BTW, they sell RCCL insulated mugs on deck with hot chocolate and your choice of spirits;)
online check in
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Has anyone else had issues today trying to do your online check in? I keep getting kicked out. It has taken most of the afternoon ( keep coming back and trying) to only get the first page done.
Just wondered if it was me or a Celebrity issue.
Thanks
