Your key card will be in the haven check in area. You will need to go there to get checked in. Afterwards you can leave the area to join your group and board together.

Last 2 cruises the wine was not chilled but placed on the counter. I just put it in the refrigerator for next day mimosas.

If this is true, then why do they all sit at the casino bar, not playing anything, and smoke up the place?
Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
Used to be balcony smoking. With that eliminated more smokers congregate in the casino to smoke.

If you are a casino guest do you get priority tendering when sailing with Norwegian at Great Stirrup Cay?

Tendering is not a CAS perk.

Was curious about how long it took to go by the Statue of Liberty and get to the Verrazano Bridge.
Will be leaving in June on the Breakaway, and departure time is 4PM.
TIA!
About 30 minutes to the statue of liberty and 45 minutes to get to the bridge.
Have a great cruise.

That is a great idea, but I have already booked this upcoming cruise through an online TA.
Do you think it's still worth a call to them, or is that only if I were to book with them? I guess I could call to at least find out if we have tiered up based on last year's play.
Thanks for the helpful replies :)
I don't have personal experience with this but have heard you can transfer from your TA to CAS. It's like transferring from one TA to another TA. May be a cancellation and re-book (?) Give them a call and see what they can do. Then you can weigh your options.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated!
We gambled a lot (for us) on our last cruise in November, 2016 -- so now, as of April 1 , 2017, they will be looking at our behavior from the last evaluation period? So, next month, when we go to the ship casino to get a card, we may have "tiered up" to the next level based on our gaming activity of the previous year? Am I understanding that correctly? (Hope so -- that could be good news for us!).
Call CAS and see what they may be able to offer you. If booked through them your players card will be in your cabin along with a letter letting you know what amenities you are entitled to.

Hoping someone can help me out with this one. As I read it, all points you earned before March 31 and March 31 are zeroed out come April 1st.
My question -- is this also true for calling CAS and seeing if you get a discount on a cruise? Last year we gambled more than we ever have, and lost several thousand dollars on one cruise, which to us, is a lot! (We have never been serious gamblers). I took some comfort in knowing that we may have at least gambled ourselves to sweet, sweet cruise discounts. But Now that I read this zeroing out on April 1st thing, I wonder if that's true.
When you call CAS to book, do they look at your past gaming history, or do they just start everyone off at zero until proven otherwise, as in no one gets a discount if they call to book on April 1st.
TIA for any info you have to share.
Points earned from April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017 are valid for tier elevations/comps from April 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018. Every year on April 1st points reset for the following year's comps. Hope this makes sense.

Since you say you have a history with NCL I would first check wth CAS and see if they can offer you anything based on your play with them. Then you can decide if its worth it to drive to a land casino for the certificate.

The lobster roll at Ocean Blue's take out window on the waterfront. Only offered from 12-2 on sea days. With a bottle of corona staring at the ocean - doesn't get better than this.

I want to third the NCL excision to Jost Van Dyke! We took the Rebel Yell catamaran to the island! It was well worth the price and would do it again. Our time in Tortola was 7 AM to 1 PM and the excursion fill the entire time!

I seem to be in the minority here. Did this excursion in February and was looking forward to it after all the great reviews. The catamaran ride was 45 minutes with no narration as to what we were seeing. Disappointing given all the islands we were passing. I also found the ride to/from very crowded with some people having to stand. Once on the island there were a small number of nice adirondeck chairs and low beach chairs you could use and place them where you pleased. No loungers. No umbrellas and very little shade. The pain killers were good though and the beach was nice although I much prefer Orient Beach on St. Martin. IMHO this excursion was over priced. Glad I did it and could cross it off my list but would not do it again.

Absolutely not,
Fine with me to make one or two ships non-smoking; I just wouldn't sail on them.
To each his/her own.
I would pay more to smoke on the balcony. Miss that the most and wish something could have been worked out like opposite sides or aft only. And yes, I obey the rules and smoke only in designated areas.

I was quoted a price for 4 of us in an OV room. Let's say the price is 5000.00
Then I was told I was applicable for one of the perks which included the 3/4th pax free.
Let's say that 1st pax is 2000 and 2nd pax is 2000 (for easiness) and 3 and 4th pax is 500 each. Does that mean if I choose that particular perk, I can expect 1k to come off of the total price?
Thank you so much. I'm so confused!
Using your example, yes. You do not pay the cruise cost for the 3rd and 4th passengers. You will still be responsible for the NSF and port charges for them usually somewhere around 200 dollars each,
If you go to the website and do a mock booking you can check out the detail for the cost of the cabin,

Thanks guys. I have never met Patrick. The short casino manager with the accent sounds like it might be Stuart.
Hope Stuart is still on. He and his staff are wonderful.

Any idea what taxi fare is from port to Port Royal? Thanks.
If I recall correctly I paid $20 including the tip I gave. The gentlemen at the taxi stand will let you know the rates.
You are not permitted to bring golf clubs on the bus.

Also-what can you tell me about the "free" beverage package? I know that gratuities have to be paid, but what is included, is there a maximum number of drinks, how strict are they? Someone posted that if one person on the package gets a drink you have to have both cards available? Also, if you have the package can you "buy for a friend"?
Unlimited number of drinks; up to $15 per drink. That will get you just about anything they have.
You cannot "buy" a drink for a friend unless you pay separately for it. Each person must have their own package. That said, once a bartender gets to know you, you may be able to get 2 drinks with one card.

When I traveled with my grandchildren, all of us needed to show ID and ship's cards when returning to each port area. I would make sure your friend brought the birth certificates with her.

I realise everyone's taste is different but we will be on the Breakaway in December and if we decided to try just one of the speciality restaurants which would you chose?
We do not eat seafood or foods that contain lots of peppers, otherwise we suffer for days after :o:( Everything else is probably on the menu.
Thanks
I would have chosen Le Bistro too if they hadn't changed the menu. No more lamb chops - only small medallions with some kind of strange sauce. No more duck confit - now it's shredded duck with sauce.
Based on the changes I would choose Cagney's. Great steaks, double cut lamb chops and a large veal chop. (Sadly, no more bison based on my September Breakaway cruise.)

All I can say is this. I live in Florida. Just over an hour from port of Miami and 35 to Ft.lauderdale. And the conditions have turned ugly already. News is already saying power outage by me. It looks though by fri where the ports are things should be ok especially by Sat and Sun. Just be happy you aren't leaving today or tomorrow.
Stay safe - thoughts and prayers are with you.
-
I only live about an hour from the port. My routine starts at home -
I watch the ship dock and then tell the passengers to hurry up and get off because now it's MY turn!!!

Hello - Any recent Smokers on the Breakaway?
What did you pay for cartons?
Thanks, Ted G
Prices change from time to time but when I was on the Gem In June they were under$40 a carton and ran a limited special - 3 cartons for $86. Breakaway should be the same/similar.

Hi:
When playing on the slots in the casino I recall that I was able to set up a PIN number and "charge" slot play to my onboard account.
Does using your onboard account in this way incur the 3% fee or is the fee limited to when I cash out any extra OBC?
Thank you in advance. I simply cannot remember.
Your pin number will be your birthday (day of the month and last 2 digits of the year). For example, if you were born February 10, 1988 your pin would be 1088
You will be charged the 3% unless golden or above.
-
You will have a bottle of sparkling wine in your suite upon arrival or shortly thereafter. Just request a pitcher of orange juice and you can make your own mimosas - no charge.

Enjoy your trip!

Not everyone receives an email. I did not but was still able to bid. Check your account on NCL.com. You should see the message tab. It looks like an envelope. Click on that. You should then be able to see the Let's get you upgraded tab to click. Clicking on that should reveal what you are able to bid on.
Good luck and have a great cruise.
