Check with a travel agent.

Some of the shows are available in the afternoon. You probably could see all 3 and draw your own conclusions. And still have some free nights for other things.

We booked a spa junior suite guarantee in March for a cruise in July and a cabin was assigned within 3 days of booking. I was surprised and delighted they did it so early.

One Texas Holdem table

We booked a JS guarantee for a cruise on the Anthem at the end of July. First time we booked a guarantee. Much to my surprise we have already been assigned a Spa Junior Suite on deck deck 11, midship. We're happy with that. Didn't save a lot of money but since we are also booked in a suite on the Anthem at the end of August, we decided to take a chance. I always thought they assigned a guarantee much closer to the date of the cruise.

Cape Liberty web site still says $19 per day. But I don't think that web sight has been updated in years.

If you do drive the day of do a park and cruise. I wouldn't' pay those thieves $20 a day just on principle. Unless you need to be home minutes after you dock waiting for a shuttle is no bid deal! Enjoy your cruise!!!
Just an FYI NYC piers $45 per day

That's really sad, but what are the chances of getting 4 critically ill at the same time? They could have gotten closer to a port and a helicopter could take them off. Even if only one at a time. Seems like there is more to the story that RCCL is not divulging. I'm not saying they have to, just that there has to be a reason. Of course it could be a coincindence.
I wish them all a quick recovery.

Yes but have you tried Firefox? I haven't because I don't want to load another browser on my new computer....just wondering what is everyone using, especially those who have gained access.
I have firefox and that doesn't work either.

Also 3 card poker, texas holdem and I think let it ride
The hotel shuttle pulls a trailer so has plenty of room for the luggage. They had shows every night on Quantum last January that we had to reserve so since we are on the same cruise as you and only 3 have required reservations I imagine the others will be first come since so many people were confused about the reservations that we saw on the Quantum in January.
Table games: craps, blackjack, roulette (I don't play the tables) casino is huge

Only Radiance class gives you deeper balconies o the edge of the hump. Voyager and freedom class have no difference in balcony or cabin size.
Quantum and Anthem also have larger balconies near the hump

Jackets for men are required in the Grand every night but ties are not required

most people who are on these just want to say that they are the first to cruise on a new ship and don't necessarily expect to be wowed.. it is just a status thing.. I agree with anyone who thinks that there wont be kinks to work out stop complaining and wait to sail later when things are worked out!!
Not trying to be arguementative, but I was wondering how you know this?

"Formal Night" is going the way of the "Midnight Buffet"

Please keep in mind that many of those who disliked Dynamic Dining disliked it (and many were very vocal) before they ever took their cruise. These folks are continuing to voice their desire to do away with Dynamic Dining. Some of these are on a mission to ensure that Dynamic Dining does NOT spread to the rest of the fleet.
Please also keep in mind that there are folks who enjoyed all aspects of the Quantum (including Dynamic Dining) and are returning to cruise on her again before she sails to China.
We sailed with 3 other couples who enjoyed Dynamic Dining. Of the 4 couples, we are the only ones who post on Cruise Critic.
Please also keep in mind that corporate Royal Caribbean is NOT stupid. They will make adjustments and probably will have them in place by the time you sail.
If you board with a positive attitude (which you appear to have) you will probably enjoy the Quantum.
On the other hand, the "Negative Nellies" boarded with their negative mindset that sealed their fate.
Well said. I agree with everything you said, even though we have had a couple of issues with our dining reservations. We are looking to have a great time like always. Never let the little things get to you (or the big ones either)

We were at Cape Liberty before 9:30AM. Luggage was tagged and we checked in, went through security and waited about an hour and a half before we started boarding! We felt it was better to sit in the terminal than to be pacing the floors at home..
I agree. You never know what is going to happen with traffic when driving from Long Island. Someone with a flat tire can easily cause an hour delay. If there is an accident, forget about it. I'd rather sit in the terminal for a couple of hours and relax.

earliest arrival appointment/boarding is at 11:45 am
- what does arrival appointment in your Setsail Pass say?
Mine says arrival 10:45 - 11:15

Thank you for the reviews!

If the "host" feels so strongly about their dress code, why isn't it enforced? Or is it that their dress code is merely a "suggestion"?

Manhattan pier parking is now $45 per day.

A recent reviewer of the Summit, who said they had a great cruise, still complained profusely about some of the following. A waiter didn't pick up a small piece of paper on the floor.(maybe a server shouldn't pick up items on the floor), poached egg station opened at 7:25 instead of 7:00, the chocolate on the pillow at night, although very tasty, did not have a brand identity. Now these things may bother some people but someone new and thinking about booking Celebrity may be discouraged and miss out on a great cruise/vacation experience.

Celebrity monitors these boards and often comments. Why are they not commenting on this ongoing problem. It is not very comforting when you have a fully paid booking and the web site says you have none.

Finally I get my son and his family to go on a cruise and all of these changes happen. My grandchildren are young (4,10 and 12) but the older two really enjoy fine dining experiences. I was looking forward to the old menu which is now the gone menu. My husband enjoys meatloaf and he loved the starters as appetizers.
I am hoping the changes do not get to the Splendor until after July 2014
Meatloaf is fine dining? I thought meatlof was yesterday's flat iron steak and today's gravy.

They only take a new photo if the one you upload does not conform to there specifications which are not difficult to do. Basically a passport phot format is perfect.
