  1. Having a great butler hooked us on ncl suites. With that said butlers have a job were training shows. We've had some better than others. We had one in a GV whose English really wasn't adequate. It turns out it was his first time ever as a butler. We've learned to say something to the hotel director early on if the butler isn't working out. That's always taken care of any issues.

  2. I didn't see you say what ship you are on? On the jewel class ships we've never had an issue getting any reservation except teppenyaki. On the getaway the conceirge was so overwhelmed we couldn't even get a la cusina table for two set 530. If you're in the haven though you can have the food delivered also.

  3. If legally she can sign it I don't think you'll have trouble. How do they know the dad is living or that she isn't a single parent? I would never say do something illegal I'm just commenting from a practical point of view. I had my husband fill out the form for our last cruise since he couldn't come. I wasn't even asked about him let alone asked for the form.

  4. Most of the are 1.5 to two hours. When we asked for quicker service at le bistro the waitress was indignant and sent someone else to serve us. We said we wanted to be out in 1.5 hours and would skip dessert if needed. That's the only time that's ever happened on ncl for us though. If you go to moderno the food is ready so you can pace yourself. At teppenyaki your eating in groups so that's harder. They wouldn't let uson the getaway book a dinner and a show with less than two hours I between.

  5. The size of the suite versus the other ones on the getaway was not what I was commenting on. I didn't think it was any different from the others that hold six people. What I was trying to say was that the suites on the star and the pearl were larger. The size of room didn't effect our enjoyment except that we were always shifting furniture around to get four people around the table. What did bother us was the obstructed view. You couldn't sit in the living room and see the ocean. It felt like an inside cabin. For us the view is important especially for that price. The location was perfect. We had kids making noise in the hallway and every where in the haven so location on that wouldn't matter.
