Hi all, we are sailing on Thursday, and plan to rent a van in Freeport. I know that Lucaya National Park and Gold Rock Beach are on our itinerary, but what are some other must see places to go to while we are there? None in the group are big shoppers, so we will probably skip Port Lucaya Marketplace....

I have a couple of questions for those of you that have done this excursion before.

When you do this through the cruise line are you responsible for getting back and forth to the ferry dock on Paradise Island, or do they provide transport?

Are you able to leave the island when you are ready, or do you have to wait for a set time?

I am just confused on how the transportation part works, if any one could please clarify this for me I would be so grateful.

Thank you all, I was hopeful, but didn't think it would be a possibility. We can't switch her to a different room, because we are in a suite, and the others are in ocean view. I tried that, and they won't allow the switch, one because of time frame, we sail in 45 days, and two because it is considered a downgrade.

Hi all, I have a question, and I have searched, and have been watching the responses to other cheers threads for this. I am going on a cruise with some family members in September, and will be sharing a cabin with my future daughter in law. She wants to purchase the cheers package, however I am diabetic, don't drink alcohol, sodas or specialty coffees, etc. My question is, is it possible to get an exception if I provided medical documentation so that we did not have to purchase two Cheers packages?

I am not sure if anyone else has tried this, or if it would even be possible.

Thank you! We were in Freeport several years ago on a cruise and did a jeep excursion. We went to the caverns, but didn't get to go across to Gold Rock beach, so that is definitely a high point for us. I am so excited, and can't wait for this trip!

We are going to be in Freeport late September, and were thinking of renting a car at the port, and touring the island on our own. There will be 5 adults in our group, and I am the only one who has been there before, or even cruised before!!

I need suggestions for places to visit while we are there! I know we are going to Lucayan National Park and Gold Rock Beach, but need other ideas for not to miss sights! We will be in port for 7 hours, so we have plenty of time!
