This situation is a little strange. I feel like I don't even want to make plans or hotel reservations until I am 100% certain this cruise is really going! I had just booked my flights through Celebrity a few days before the mysterious disappearance. Luckily, I didn't have to pay up front.

Thanks for sharing your cruise. We will be on the Connie Oct 20 for a 10 night cruise beginning in Cittavechia and ending in Barcelona. First time on the Connie. Also sailed the Infinity around the horn in South America. Looking forward to your posts. Enjoy!
We are on this sailing as well. Are you on the roll call? Would be interested in what you are doing in the ports. Laura

I read this ship has a lot of outdoor space. Are people utilizing the promenade? I know there aren't bars along the promenade like there are on the NCL mega ships. Does this ship deliver its advertisement of being closer to the sea?

Do you know if the gratuities are included in the drink package that comes with the Aurea?

I am enjoying your review! I have learned so much about this cruise. We are sailing in May and I have to believe that the issues you and others have mentioned aren't so complex that they won't be resolved by then. I hope someone else will review in real-time like you have been doing.
Enjoy!

We did a Turk tuk tour and it was great. Small electric vehicle. Not sure who we used but Google it.we are visiting Lisbon at the end of April and was planning to use the HOHO but they have very poor reviews on tripadvisor so wondered in anyone had used them here or any other ideas. I know there will be quite a few cruises passengers visiting that day as one of the large Costa ships is inSent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk

I have not been on either of the ships but would choose the Vista and the southern itinerary. Grand Turk is nice, Aruba is great and Curacao is beautiful. Want to go to Dominica too! It is easy to find eastern and western cruises. This is a nice southern itinerary without having to fly to San Juan. I vote Vista.

If your cruise is a party type cruise and you are sure you will drink several every day maybe yes. If not no. You will not consistently drink enough every day. I counted our drinks on recent 2 week Europe cruise and together we drank the cost of one package. glad we didn't buy the drink package. You have to buy it for both.Cruising with 4 people and we aren't huge drinkers. We might each have 2-3 drinks per night. However, we read an article that said you really need 5 drinks to break even and of course it includes more than just alcohol. We'll probably buy 3-4 bottles of water pe rday and I personally love specialty coffee so it seems it might be worth it. What to do you think? What are you person thoughts on the cheers package?

I just spent two weeks on the Navigator of the Seas and was impressed with the WJ. There is a separate pasta bar, International Bar and burgers/hot dogs. There were plenty of choices in the main line. We didn't experience any lines but we went at off-peak times. I wish the WJ was open later though.

If you only paid $100 pp for the deposit where does the $450 pp come into play?
