  1. Just wanted to put it out there that I spoke to Jimmy at Mulinos in White Plains, NY this week and he is trying to get a reunion of Home Lines crew and passengers this October/November.

Anyone interested should call him at Mulinos to express your interest. He took my number and said he would call me but the more girls that call him the better.

Please, please, let's get this reunion off the ground. This is for all the girls that used to go down to the pier on Saturday and then cry our hearts out for the remainder of the week until Saturday came again!!!!

  2. Suesea,

My friends and I have been trying to get this reunion off the ground for so long. It's my understanding that it will take place in White Plains and we have called the restaurant so many times but they have not called us back yet.

Please keep us posted; we sailed on Home Lines in the late 70's and there has never been another cruise line like it.

My friends and I are very interested in a Home Lines Cruise reunion. I have called the restaurant in White Plains so many times but have not heard back from them.

    Maybe if we all call.

Hi All, Hi Nonnie58, how are you? I'm glad you want to come if, or shall I say WHEN, we get a reunion together. Of course, bring your other Home Lines girls, the more the merrier, more fun stories to share, not to mention pictures :). Would it be too difficult for you to come down to NYC as a location?

Princessgal, Hi.. I wonder if the Vincenzo you're talking about is one of the Vincenzo's Nonnie58 and I were thinking of. You were smart not to fall for their lines, but you must be pretty strong too, their charm was so...so...so, well overwhelming, shall I say . That's some story about Capt Marossa. Was that on the Doric? Did you sail on any other Home Lines ships? I feel the same as you do about sailing on those smaller ships. I'm trying to think of the other Disco, passed the bird cage. I remember going to a place called Robin Hood, I think that was more like a pub, and then I think there was another disco, Venezia, maybe, I'm not sure . Whatever. Till this day Bermuda remains my most favorite island. It has changed somewhat since my first cruise there, but I still love it! We are trying to get a Home Lines girls get together after the holidays. Would you like to join us?

Hi Marge106, ArubaGal, Hope all is well with you gals and hope you still want to get together after the holidays :).

    Ciao,

    Sue

  4. Hi Cruising Sisters,

    Here is the info:

Jimmy at Mulinos Restaurant 914-761-1818. I've already spoken to him and so have a bunch of my friends.

It looks like you are from Queens? Is that right? We also were from Queens and used to cab it down there every Saturday morning.

How we cried when the ship pulled out at 4:00 but used to wish away the week until we were back down there again.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Ciao.

  5. Would anyone be interested in attending a Homes Lines Reunion in NY?

My friends and I who sailed Home Lines back in the late 70s, early 80s, and yes we were those girls that would be at the pier every Saturday morning, are trying to get this reunion off the ground again.

We have spoken to Jimmy at Mulinos Restaurant in White Plains, NY who said that he will do the reunion again if there is enough interest. The reunion would be in Manhattan.

I think the more people that call him the better.
