You can give feedback to tellus@vikingcruises.com.
Thanks. Just gave them an earful...

My card was saved in the "old" website account, but in the "new" website, MasterCards cannot be saved (see below).
This new website is a trainwreck...
-
I just booked our excursions through the "new" website and was unable to save my MasterCard for future use. Any idea why?
-
Unfortunately this is what the "enhanced" website menu looks like. Nowhere under any heading option can a wishlist any longer be found. Hopefully Viking will correct this before everyone is transitioned to this boondoggle. Thankfully I also copied my wishlist items to a file beforehand.
-
Same problem for us too. Wishlist feature now missing with all our selections. Viking rep said it's not available on their new website and no prior notice was provided to anyone. There's going to be a lot of upset users as they roll this out...

Drying clothes was the primary use of the balcony on our cruise earlier this month...

I'm pretty sure that I read that Avalon had cancelled a number of cruises, but I'm not sure which thread it is in.
Maybe this one?

Just got off the British Isles cruise and the showtimes were 8:15 & 10:15 except for one night with 3 shows. We met for dinner at 5:45 pm and had to rush to get seats at the 8:15 show. If you weren't there by 7:35 you probably wouldn't find adjoining seats. Never experienced this before... This was the "oldest" cruise we've been on and that probably had much to do with it. Also the production shows were the best we've seen. The shows were even live-streamed into Explorer's Lounge for those who couldn't find theater seats.
-
We also returned from a recent cruise and found the new mattresses to be excellent.
-
Thanks so much! Never enough time on the cruise to read everything. Now we can read at our leisure beforehand. :D
One note: CruiseCompassDay3Pt3 should be Pt2

Thanks for taking the time to post your experiences. :)
We're on the EOS September 19 cruise...

It happened to people we know travelling on the Anthem. Their power strip was confiscated when the bags were scanned. When the cruise was finished they had to pick it up. makes sense..if more people did that it could be a problem and a safety issue.
Used a power strip on a Princess 12-day Med Cruise last year with no issues. Wonder why RCCL is different?
-
Looking forward to your experiences. We're in cabin 7056 on 9/19.
Good info on the power strip/extension cord - never heard of this before!
-
Thanks everyone - much good information :)
It would be an inexpensive backpack with an old windbreaker, water bottle, hand towel, etc. My camera and phone are always with me...
-
Thanks marazul.
Appreciate the advice. We'll play it by ear per the excursion guide's instructions.
-
Never assume anything. Ask the driver (or the guide if the driver does not speak English, they often do not) before assuming your things will be looked after.
Yep, assume was the wrong word... :D
I guess I'm looking for feedback from others who have dealt with this.

We're taking several 8-12 hour Princess cruise excursions next month (Florence, Rome, Naples, etc.), and plan on taking a backpack with clothing, etc.
Is it safe to leave it on the van/vehicle? I assume it will be locked.
-
I can't get 2014 schedules to show up with that link. How did you find yours?
Maybe I jumped the gun... I guessed if Princess listed it in my departure port (which wasn't there before), it was scheduled. But the Regal doesn't show as listed in the port schedule yet.
-
It is a little confusing.
Here's the exact description:
Port Address
Stazione Marittima Porto
Venice, Italy
Telephone: +39 041 2407102
Fax: +39 041 2447503

Just noticed Princess now shows; Stazione Marittima Porto Venice, Italy
as the departure port for my Regal Pricess cruise on 8/30/14 :D
MasterCard cannot be saved for future use?

Viking responded that MasterCard did not meet the regulatory (?) requirements apparently needed by the new Viking website and therefore cannot be used as a "stored" card. I was advised I can use another card to store on the website and switch to the MasterCard once I'm onboard. Nice of them to tell me what credit card I can use, and I don't relish the thought of having to change cards mid-cruise base on previous billing miscues I've experienced.
Why this new website couldn't wait for MasterCard to meet this requirement, and why I as a MasterCard user was selected/forced to transition is a mystery. They obviously knew I had a MasterCard saved to my account and chose to inconvenience me anyway. And of course I was never advised this occurred and my card was unknowingly removed until I attempted to pay for my excursions.
In my career as an IT Sr. Project Mgr. I was involved with numerous customer service relationship application website implementation projects and this type of rollout failure is unbelievably amateurish.
MasterCard users beware...
