Has anyone used them to see Ronda? I saw that city on the Amazing Race and it looked wonderful.

We just came back from the Spain Day tour of Ronda and Mijas. You have free time to explore both of these places. We had an excellent escort, Debbie, who suggested places to see and made sure we all got back to the meeting place. She even arranged a taxi for a group of us who couldn’t face the uphill walk back.
Spain Day was excellent at answering my many questions. I recommend them most highly!! Malaga to Ronda and Mijas- Spain Day Tours.

Thank you. It looks like someone has booked him for the day I wanted in December, probably on the same cruise as me 😬

Dewa recommended this gentleman for our February Westerdam cruise. He was wonderful!

No, but it's a good chance to be able to see the Northern Lights this time of the year in Greenland from a US port Roundtrip, with no international flight travel needed.

If you want to do the TA, get on the ship in Amsterdam on August 28th 2023 to Bayonne, a 17 night cruise.

Not many cabins left for that one either $7500 for an inside cabin GTY.

We are heading to Akureyri, Isafjordur, Grundarfjordur, and Reykjavik this July. Most of the tour providers our Roll Call forum booked with are sold out, and close to it, and we are still 2 months out. I wouldn't rely on being able to just join a tour at the ports.

We had a great experience with IG tours. Very organized and efficient. They coordinated tours from Reykjavik and Akureyri  we ended up with 4 buses from our ship and the tours were excellent!!

  6. I would like to take a taxi to Scottshead, stay and snorkel for awhile and return to the ship. Will there be a taxi at the pier? Will he/she be willing to wait for us or come back to pick us up?

    Thanks.:)

  7. Jewel of the Seas Feb. 19 Dominica

Since our Roll Call is not active I am posting here.

I am organizing a tour in Dominica with Levi where we snorkel at Champagne Reef with the bubbles from the sea floor as well as great sea life. Then some scenic stops and a visit to the picturesque village of Scottshead. There is a narrow beach there that separates the Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea. Great snorkelling on the Caribbean side. Google Champagne Reef and also Scottshead. I'm looking for 2 couples to join us.

If you are interested please email me at blomo at sympatico dot ca.

Hope to share this experience with you! :)

  10. We've been wanting to do one of their day tours for some time now...just havent done it. Can you give us any info...such as how long it lasted...how much it cost...what all did you see, etc? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks..Doug :)

We were in Galveston a year ago. Their day tours are hop on hop off. They had a small bus, only. It picked up at the Pleasure Pier on Seawall Blvd. We were charged $22 for a 2 day pass. The tour went around the major points of interest and was very informative about the history of the beautiful old homes, flood damage, history of the island, all given with a sense of humor. We jumped off at a number of points of interest -sorry I don't remember the exact number but Google their website. I was impressed that they kept track of when everyone returned and even made a special trip to pick up some people who had missed the last bus pick up.

We used Cool tours as a pick up from the airport. 2 day hop on, hop off and as a shuttle to the cruiseport. Very friendly, personal service. Highly recommended. Have fun!

  11. We used Cool tours last April both for a shuttle from Hobby and for their day tours. They were excellent, friendly and efficient. Steve arrived at the airport on time and everything went as it should. The day tour drivers were humorous and knowledgeable about their island. Great tours. Highly recommended.

    Enjoy! :)

I did try the taste bar. It was pretty neat. Literally tiny taste size portions of a couple of different foods each evening. Think of that cooking show where the entire sample is placed on a spoon. In the case of the taste bar, appetizers are served on saucer sized plates and soups in tiny bowls. No flatware. It's one bite or gulp and done.

Where is the taste bar? Is it available every day/night??

    Thanks

  13. there are 3 free barbecues!! one at each of the two family beaches and one at serenity bay..

you can eat at all 3 if you feel like it!

though the family ones have identical food...

the adult one might have an item or two the family doesn't, i don't know..

when we were there, in addition to regular barbecue stuff, the adult one had fish and steak...(i think the steak was made to order)..

Can you take food from the adult beach over to the family beach at lunch?

    Thanks!

  14. I have booked this for 2 of us--I am not getting very far on trying to get others to join from our group--most of them have already booked their tours.

As it is VERY costly for only 2 I am wondering if anyone that has used them ever asked if they had others who might need to join a group for the cost to come down? It would be great for just 2 but way too costly should I just write & ask them or does anyone have any idea if this can be done?

I know we have quite a while to go yet..but I do worry about the cost of this one..so trying to figure out what we can do--I do not want to take the ships bus to edge of the city nor do I want to try to do it ourselves. (we also have a guide for the Vatican & it has also added to the cost).

What date and what ship are you on???
